La Boum Fatale shares Liam Back remix of new single!

"... an immersive sonic journey." - Earmilk

"... a wonderful and unique take on ambient melodies and ideas..." - Indie Shuffle

For fans of... Autre Ne Veut, Boards of Canada, Autechre

In anticipation of the release of La Boum Fatale's debut album Holygram, out on 8th April 2016 via Sinnbus, German producer and musician Antonio de Spirt has shared the Liam Back remix of second single No Tongue In Cheek.

The remix premiered on Earmilk but you can also stream it now via the Sinnbus Soundcloud page or via the embed below.

This is the first mix taken from a remix EP where de Spirt brings together collaborators and friends, old and new, such as 9b0, Matvrak and Kirrin Island plus illustrious names like NGHT DRPS and Austin Edward.

Around the time of La Boum Fatale's debut EP Damwild in 2012, Antonio was based in Hamburg and about to make his first tentative steps onto the scene. His secret hit ‘AAA’, as well as a couple of other remarkable electronica listening beauties, were very well received and ingratiated La Boum Fatale with remarkable ease.

Rather than following the usual releasing routine, de Spirt - having now move to Berlin - allowed himself the luxury of experimentation. With an open mind and a willingness to grow, he concentrated on his live shows, working with many different set-ups, experimenting with his music with a graphic design-like mindset. Partnering with producers like Glenn Astro and Sieren, he created unconventional remixes for bands like Me And My Drummer, Hundreds and Sizarr.

In 2015, having spent time honing his craft and vision, de Spirt finally began to focus on tracks for his debut album Holygram. The album is a sonic kaleidoscope and an adventurous, immersive and captivating soundscape - single No Tongue In Cheek only just scrapes the surface.

La Boum Fatale’s No Tongue In Cheek is out on 11th March 2016 with debut album Holygram to follow on 8th April 2016, both released via Sinnbus.

Cut Capers release their debut album ‘Say What’!

"...an infectiously upbeat creation..." - Gigslutz

For fans of... Molotov Jukebox, Fat Freddy's Drop, The Cat Empire

Cut Capers have released their debut album Say What, out now via Two Wheel Records.

To celebrate the band have released their track Faces In the Crowd as a free download. You can get the track, which premiered on Gigslutz, from the Cut Capers Soundcloud page or by clicking on the embed below.

Playing on the live circuit and building a following around their energetic and engaging live shows, the band recently hit the studio to construct their debut full length album, featuring a plethora of new material as well as some reworked Cut Capers classics. Taking inspiration from bands such as The Cat Empire, Caravan Palace and Lazy Habits, their cross-genre blend of swing, hip hop, ska and everything in between is a stimulating musical melting pot which is just as impressive on record as the bands burgeoning live reputation.

Before Cut Capers became the eight-piece swinging hip hop powerhouse they are today, they started from humble beginnings in a spare room. Bristol based school friends Nick Van Tinteren (guitar) and Mark Pearce (vocals & tenor sax), had a vision of building a high energy blend of hip hop with swing and ska to create a fun live experience. Adding Galizian emcee Eloy Bandin (vocals), and Matt Sunderland on drums, the group released their first EP Pinstripe Tux as a five piece in 2012. Gigging around Bristol, they continued to meet like-minded musicians and beefed out the brass with the enormous Tommy Taylor (baritone sax), Angel Rodriguez (trumpet), and the incredible female vocal stylings of Jane Thomas. Completing their eclectic and international line up with Dan Plimmer (bass), the band has developed a close personal bond, sharing a combined vision of exploring different styles with a view to having as much fun as possible!

Cut Capers have performed at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair, and toured Belgium, France, Holland and Ireland. Jimmy Cliff described them as “Inspiring”, and they’ve also shared stages with ska legends Neville Staple and Jerry Dammers. With their debut album planned for March, the band is bringing their vibrant sound to a wider audience both at home and further afield.

Say What is out now via Two Wheel Records.

Adam Cleaver announces new single ‘Narrow Spines’!

“…poetic lyricism is matched to a voice capable of swooping up into the heavens.” - Clash

"...uplifting and anthemic..." - TMRW Magazine

For fans of: Dry The River, Frightened Rabbit, Ben Howard

Adam Cleaver returns with his haunting and powerful new single Narrow Spines released April 22nd 2016 via Veta Records.

“Narrow Spines is about weakness,” explains Adam. “When someone is so trapped in their own grief they aren’t able to comprehend the people around them”. The song has a much broader intensity to the sound than on his previous single Man or Beast - Narrow Spines embraces a much larger sound. However, the themes remain close to Adam’s heart as he uses his music to express raw, personal emotions.

You can stream the track now via Adam Cleaver’s Soundcloud page now.

Adam’s incredible voice paired with post-rock influenced guitars and echoing drums is a beautiful and captivating combination. His sound is not dissimilar to acts like Frightened Rabbit and Dry The River but also draws comparisons to Ben Howard and Death Cab For Cutie. This single shows another side to Adam, an intriguing side that feels like a progression from his previous singles.

Adam’s previous supporters include BBC 6Music’s Lauren Laverne, Clash, Artrocker and Radio X’s John Kennedy. Working again with producer Matt Harris (HAWK), Narrow Spines demonstrates another side to Adam’s songwriting in advance of a new EP due later this year.

Narrow Spines is out on April 22nd 2016 via Veta Records.

Crow’s Feet unveils new single Surge Swell

For fans of... Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor

"...meticulously grown until it arrives, wholly and cinematically..." - Earmilk

"...utterly enchanting..." - Gigwise

Crow’s Feet is set to release Surge Swell on March 11th 2016 via Old Mill Recordings.

You can listen to the track, which premiered on Earmilk, now via the Crow's Feet Soundcloud page.

The instrumental track is a superb mix of cinematic post-rock, evoking comparisons with the best of Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. The first half introduces us to the song with a delicate piano progression which plays a call and response with single notes echoing out on a guitar, before a surge of energy builds us to the drop of the song where drums crash in with a cacophony of ambient noise. The song is the follow up to the first single Alarm Clock Bones and while it makes good on Lewis Tollan’s promise that no two songs will sound the same it retains the same wintery overtones that tie together Crow’s Feet’s sound.

Crow’s Feet is the project of song-writer and multi-instrumentalist Lewis Tollan. Together with a rotating cast of other musicians and friends Lewis puts together his music so that no two tracks sound the same, taking influences from anyone he has collaborated with. Describing his style as “pop music on drugs” he is currently working on Crow’s Feet’s debut self-titled album, due out in early 2016.

Having played numerous instruments from a young age and been in various bands, most recently WOMPS (formerly Algernon Doll), Lewis has been heavily involved in music for a long time and decided now was the time to turn his considerable talent and experience to his own exciting new project.

Surge Swell is out on 11th March 2016 via Old Mill Recordings.

"[a] blistering indie belter..." - Gigwise

Ded Rabbit are back with a double A-side single Only Dating / Never Gonna Learn, which is out on March 25th 2016 via Ded Rabbit Records and is available to pre-order via iTunes now.

Written after watching ‘The Imitation Game’, the band wanted to capture something edgy yet fun. Only Dating is explosive, update and catchy as hell. In keeping with their undeniably British sound, the track serves as a masterclass in indie pop, which fans of Catfish & the Bottlemen and Little Comets will appreciate. Ded Rabbit are brothers Eugene (vocals, rhythm guitar), Fergus (lead guitar), Donal (bass) and Eoin Gaine (drums). Originally from Yorkshire, they relocated to the Highlands in 1996 and through their isolation and love of music, they began playing together ten years ago. After moving to Edinburgh to study, Ded Rabbit started working in the studio where they recorded their last three EPs and where the brotherly unit found their recent partnership with Rocket Science Studios (Texas, Belle And Sebastian and Dougie MacLean).

Since the release of their third EP Moving In Slow Motion, the boys have been working the festival circuit and touring the UK - one particular highlight being headlining the T Break stage at T In The Park last year as well as receiving a SAMA nomination for ‘Best Live Act’. Ded Rabbit have already received praise from BBC 6Music’s Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway and various publications including Gigwise, Record of The Day and The Skinny amongst others and 2016 sees the band make a welcome return once more as they take their infectious indie pop to new heights.

Catch Ded Rabbit live on April 9th 2016 at the Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh to celebrate the release of Only Dating / Never Gonna Learn and you can also catch them live at the dates below:
