"... it's positively dreamy."

"... modern sensual pop..."

Irish duo Hvmmingbyrd soar into 2018 with their latest self-produced single, Papillon, out now.
Harmonious in vocal ability and textural in arrangement, Papillon explores the ebb and flow from creative euphoria to self-doubt. The duo elaborate “creating music can be incredibly joyous and life-giving, but when it consumes you, sometimes you can lose a little bit of yourself”. Papillon is an ethereal soundscape from the offset, which glitches with subtle electronica and is anchored by vivid imagery and strong, emotive lyricism. Celestial harmonies float effortlessly above the captivating musicality to create something akin to that of Zero 7 and Maggie Rogers.
Having formed in early 2016, singer-songwriter/producers Deborah Byrne and Suzette Das met through mutual friends to create their unique brand of other-worldly electro-pop. Their music has already been featured on Made In Chelsea and in H&M stores worldwide, as well as previously supporting the likes of Jagwar Ma and Ryan Vail. Hvmmingbyrd have also received praise from the likes of Nialler9, It’s All Indie and Gigslutz for their previous single Gozo.
With a national tour planned for later this year, Hvmmingbyrd are now ready to share their latest slice of dreamy electronica.
Papillon is out now.
