Following the success of their last single Dantercepies, Edinburgh band Redolent are ready to captivate listeners once again with the release of Kickhimintheshins, out on 28th March 2018 via Aspartame.

Fusing together the glitchy, experimental soundscapes of the likes of Aphex Twin with an infectious energy reminiscent of the alt-rock of Foals, Kickhimintheshins is propelled by propulsive electronics that provide the backdrop to Robin Herbert’s anthemic, soaring vocals. As immersive layers of sound are interweaved, a hypnotic sonic delight is created.

Redolent was formed in 2012. Since then, Robin (vocals, guitar, keys), Robbie White (bass, keys), Danny Herbert (guitar, keys) and Andrew Turnbull (drums) have been honing their craft and pride themselves on their DIY status. Everything down to their press shots and videos are entirely created themselves.

Redolent have already received support from the likes of BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway, Clash Magazine, Amazing Radio and The Skinny, as well as previously supporting We Were Promised Jetpacks and performing at Scotland’s acclaimed T In The Park and Belladrum festivals. Kickhimintheshins is the second single to be taken from their debut EP Sgitheanach, which will be released later in 2018.

Kickhimintheshins is out now via Aspartame.
