Stark have returned with their latest single Tunnel Vision released 2nd March 2015.

Tunnel Vision is about modern life and how, sometimes, the freedom that we take for granted can be an illusion. After reading articles about scientists putting electrodes into rat’s brains to make them go left or right into tunnels, the boys felt it would make a great metaphor for the way huge corporations treat people.

Stark are bringing alternative blues/rock into the 21st century with their own unique and explosive sound. Lead vocalist Jamie Francis’ resonator guitar creates a distinctive sound you can’t help but be impressed by. This, along with the addition of Josh “Rusty” Franklin’s rumbling bass guitar, Evan Carson’s heavy drum beat and their flawless harmonies gives Stark a progressive twist that you’ll struggle to find anywhere else. Although heavily influenced by early blues artists such as Robert Johnson and Blind Lemon Jefferson, Stark also admire the energy of bands like Rage Against The Machine and the progressive sound of Tool and Porcupine Tree. This eclectic mix is what makes their sound so distinctive.

Having met at university, the Brighton-based trio have spent the last three years honing their songwriting and performance skills and recording, producing and releasing their own music. Their previous two Eps have received support from the likes of Time Out who named them Critic’s Choice, Radio 2's Paul Jones, Huey Morgan, and Whispering Bob Harris who invited them to perform an acoustic session on his show. In 2014, the boys also got the chance to support Chantel McGregor and Grainne Duffy, as well as regularly touring up and down the country.

Tunnel Vision is released on 2nd March 2015 via Rusty Shed Records.
