The Lowriders are Colchester based four-piece Dave Garlick (vox), Brian Ware (guitar), Adam Parrot (drums) and Jay Chamberlain (bass). Formerly known as Freud, their experience of creating an album from scratch and attempting to release it while maintaining as much creative control as possible fed into their most recent album, Fury.

The album opens with a flood of distorted guitar and driving percussion, and it rarely lets up. It's a return to the gritty side of rock and roll, when smoke-filled venues would be captivated by gravel-voiced front men, and simple, yet refined, melodies and percussion. Fury lacks pretension and represents the work of a band who have discovered a sound in which they feel comfortable, and infused it with critically biting lyrics, charting the highs and lows of trying to survive within an increasingly dog-eat-dog music industry.

Their single,Who's Gonna Save Your Soul, was released via Adrenalin Records on October 3rd 2011.
Their album, Fury, was released on October 31st 2011.
