Bugeye single ‘Never Let You Go’ out now!

In anticipation of their triumphant return, Bugeye have released the fantastic title track and single Never Let You Go, which you can buy now on Bandcamp. The track is taken from their forthcoming EP Never Let You Go, out on 8th July 2016 via Repeat Records/Badger Recording Co and available to pre-order now via iTunes.
The video for the single, which was directed by Emma Nathan (Suddenly, amongst others by Anna Calvi) and explores themes of domestic abuse, premiered on God Is In The TV and is available to watch now via the band's YouTube channel.
A stream of the track, which premiered on The Revue, is also available for you to listen to now via Bugeye's Soundcloud page.
Having first formed in the late 90’s supporting the likes of The Cranberries at Wembley, Bugeye reformed last year after a series of events drew them back together. The result of these cosmic events, is an EP that not only hints at what could have been, but clears the path for the talented three-piece to fulfil their undoubted potential. Bugeye draws parallels with a number of the defining indie rock bands of the late 90’s/early noughties such as Sleater-Kinney, Le Tigre and Gossip as they pursue, with a great deal of success, the ultimate rock and roll sound. Blending cherry-liqueur lyrics, bubblegum-kneecap bass electrics, goth-heavy drum compactions and high-rise guitar sculptures, Bugeye have created a beautifully, unapologetic riot grrrl-inspired record that is both notable for it’s contemporary sound as much as it is for it’s throwback qualities. Quirky, dramatic, offbeat and intensely groovy, Never Let You Go wouldn’t be out of place blaring from the Twede’s Cafe jukebox, accompanied of course by a slice of cherry pie and a “Damn fine cup ‘o coffee!”.
Comprising Angela Martin (Vox, Guitar), Paula Snow (Bass) and Jack Houston (Drums), the trio have reintroduced themselves to the live London music scene with a number of recent gigs around the city and beyond. However, the band are now just hitting their stride with ‘Disco Dancer’ having been released as a free download, the release of official single and title track Never Let You Go and the EP itself due to drop in July.
EP Never Let You Go by Bugeye, out 8th July 2016, is available to preorder on iTunes via Repeat Records/Badger Recording Co, with the title track available to buy now via the Bugeye Bandcamp.
Twinnie releases video for new single ‘Home’!

"...a fresh and exciting new sound..." - Closer
"...anthemic..." - Ultimate Music
Twinnie has released a new video for her latest single Home, out on 1st July 2016 via TLM Records and available to pre-order on iTunes.
The video premiered on Closer Online and has already had a huge amount of support on social media from Twinnie's celebrity friends and family. It is available to watch now on Twinnie's YouTube channel.
You can also stream the single, which premiered on Ultimate Music, now via Twinnie's Soundcloud page.
Home is a heart wrenching and defiant track about losing love with a swelling chorus and soaring vocal hooks that beautifully narrate the journey of a break-up. The feeling on the single is reminiscent of artists such as The Lumineers and Mumford & Sons, whilst also transcending into a more traditional pop feel akin to the likes of Ella Henderson. Twinnie is bringing a new edge and is a fresh new face to the country pop music scene - a welcome change from the dated look and feel of the genre.
Twinnie is best known for her role as Porsche McQueen on popular UK soap Hollyoaks but her love affair with music is long standing. Not only has she secured a publishing deal with Universal, she has performed backing vocals for the likes of Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke (Blurred Lines and BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge), Brian May and Roger Taylor to name but a few. Although her roots are in England, Twinnie also travels often to LA and Nashville, working alongside critically acclaimed songwriters behind artists such as Pink, James Bay, The Shires and Jason Mraz.
Twinnie’s first single Cool reached number 2 in the iTunes county charts and she has already received support from the likes of Heat Magazine, Digital Spy and Songwriting Magazine. Twinnie is now focusing her talents solely on music, particularly her own solo material, to great effect.
Home is out on 1st July 2016 via TLM Records and available to pre-order on iTunes.

Yvonne McDonnell’s latest EP ‘Not Her Own’ out now!

"...a powerful mix which draws the listener in."
- For Folk's Sake
"...a newcomer to contemporary folk music but whom we feel will be making her mark..." - Folk Radio
Yvonne McDonnell has released her beautiful and inspiring new EP Not Her Own, out now via Reality Is Over and is available to buy on iTunes.
You can listen to an exclusive stream of the EP now via Conversations About Her.
The video for single I'm Not This Layer Of Skin premiered on For Folk's Sake and is available to watch via Yvonne's YouTube channel now.
Talking about the video, Yvonne explains it is "for every woman who has ever felt ashamed because they don’t look how the media says is right. We are sisters, mothers, daughters, friends and lovers. There is so much more to us than what we are so wrongly often defined by. We are not just our layer of skin. The video will challenge the shallow portrayal of women in the media, art and other influential outlets. It will celebrate the mind and substance behind women".
You can also stream the audio for I'm Not This Layer Of Skin via Yvonne's Soundcloud page.
Not Her Own is all about empowerment; about having the ability to positively stand up to life’s daily struggles, delivered through the effervescent beauty of Yvonne’s emotive vocals. Yvonne is not only inspired by musical influences such as Nick Cave and Joanna Newsom, but also by poets such as Alfred Lord Tennyson and Edgar Allen Poe, helping to inspire her to write the opening tracks I’m Not This Layer Of Skin and The Savages. Both these songs are skilfully written and performed with the same story-telling charm that has worked so well for to the likes of Laura Marling, Lisa Hannigan and Kate Rusby. McDonnell’s hypnotic vocal remains centre-stage throughout the four track EP, with her unique vibrato blending in effortlessly with the warped guitars and hypnotic violin, a clear nod to her Irish roots.
Originally from East London, Yvonne started performing acoustically in 2012 at university in Portsmouth. She soon got addicted to the live circuit and was later joined by violinist Maria Kroon - who also contributes heavily on Not Her Own. Yvonne’s debut EP Endless Soul received praise from the likes of Gigslutz and Pure M Magazine and she has also performed live sessions for Sofar Sounds in London and Cambridge amongst others. The release of Not Her Own will see Yvonne take another step up the folk ladder as she introduces the listener to a fresh, darker exploration of British modern folk.
Not Her Own is out now via Reality Is Over and available to buy on iTunes.
Newtimers release Sailor & I remix for single ‘Best Of Me’!

"Blissfully synthetic pop music..." - Clash
"“…an exquisite R&B-infused jam.” - Ultimate Music
Newtimers have shared the Sailor & I remix of their single Best of Me. Both this remix and the original single can be found on the band's latest release EP One, out now via Cosmos Music and available on Spotify and iTunes.
The remix is available to stream now via the band's Soundcloud page.
The full EP is also available to stream now, also via the band's Soundcloud page.
Or you can watch the video for the single Best Of Me, which premiered on Clash, via the band's YouTube channel.
EP One is a blend of synth pop, RnB and 80s soul with the duo Andreas Britton Cavaco (vocals) and Tim Lundblad (drums, production), finally coming together as Newtimers after writing and recording music for many years under various guises for miscellaneous projects and collaborative ventures.
The tracks on the EP were written at a time when the pair were both suffering from broken hearts. “It's full of who, what, wheres and whys - seeing past, present and future,” say the band and although the songs were written under somewhat sad circumstances, there’s more hope here than melancholy.
The duo have had dalliances with various labels from indies to majors but finally as Newtimers, they’re ready to present their own brand of alt pop to the masses. Previous single Perfect Ten racked up nearly 90k plays on Spotify and the way the pair combine their influences, carving out their own unique space within the pop genre, is their biggest draw - it’s hard to pin Newtimers down and that’s a good thing.
The EP also features two remixes of Best Of Me by Monsieur Adi and Sailor & I. Having been compared to the likes of The xx and Active Child, Sailor & I is known for creating huge, dream-like sounds in his music, something which he has incorporated perfectly into his Best Of Me remix.
Newtimers’ EP One is the perfect introduction to a band that are more than the sum of their various influences, they create modern pop that’s full of heart, soul and depth.
EP One is out now via Cosmos Music and available on Spotify and iTunes.
