The Son’s Room is a poignant reflection on memory and loss, inspired by lead singer Phil Shaw’s childhood and his relationship with his father. This is first time Alberteen have not included a guitar part, enabling the song to be propelled by funky beats and soaring synths, as thought provoking lyrical storytelling flows.

Cardiff-based Ivan Moult returns with his latest collection of rich, confessional songs on new album Longest Shadow, out 20th April 2018 via Bubblewrap Collective. His Latest single Lay Me Down allows Moult’s beautifully natural vibrato to soar effortlessly over the cinematic musicality, creating something akin to that of Nick Drake or Jeff Buckley’s distinctive songwriting charm.

• Megan says of the single, “It concerns mental health, specifically mine and the rolling effects on myself and others. It was birthed from one of the hardest times of my life and was the first song I had written in a year. I had been in hospital, arrested and dumped and I thought to myself what best to do other than sing?”.
