Permahorn release album ‘My Blood Carries My Dreams Away’!

"...matches highly personal lyricism with sounds to get lost in." - Clash

"A rich, sonic delight, it oozes its own unique, haunting majesty amongst a swirling, sophisticated musicality."
- The Vinyl District

For fans of... Galaxie 500, Low, Half Japanese, Arab Strap

London based Scottish/Serbian boy/girl duo, Permahorn, are delighted to announce the release of their brooding, heartfelt debut album My Blood Carries My Dreams Away, out now via Shimmy-500 and available to buy on Bandcamp and iTunes and to stream on Spotify.

Produced by renowned producer and musician Kramer (Bongwater, Galaxie 500, Ween, Daniel Johnston, Low), My Blood Carries My Dreams Away takes cues from slowcore bands such as Galaxie 500, The Red House Painters and Arab Strap, creating a sonically atmospheric record full of charm and seduction.

The record's title track, My Blood Carries My Dreams Away, is a swaying schizophrenic offering where churning backward loops swirl, and are accented gorgeously by vocals incorporated from 20-year-old tapes recovered by producer Kramer. The single premiered on Clash and is available to stream via the Permahorn Soundcloud page.

The duo followed this up with single Into The Dreams (SLUT) which premiered on The Vinyl District

My Blood Carries My Dreams Away plays out like a Nico record covered by Low via the nightmarish vision of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet. Taking shape over a twelve month period, the duo used music as an escapism from what was an emotionally difficult time; offering a sense of relief in the process. The result is one of the best records you’re likely to hear in 2017.

On the surface My Blood Carries My Dreams Away is a bleak album tackling themes of desire, obsession, deceit and guilt. Despite this, there are small buds of hope, optimism and a sense that there may be light at the end of the tunnel. Inviting the listener on their melancholic journey the record throws up surprises throughout, from the feedback-laden forthcoming single ‘Radiation’ conjuring memories of Pavement and Half Japanese to the wonderfully delivered deadpan vocals on the Nico inspired ‘Into The Dreams (Slut)’ and the harrowing ‘Lynch Mob’; a track Arab Strap would be proud of. My Blood Carries My Dreams Away leads you down dimly lit alleys, to be lost forever in the morose world of Permahorn.

Comprised of Saint Pauly (guitar, vocals, percussion, knobs) and Jexy Pesic (bass, vocals, drums, switches), the duo were taken under the wing of Shimmy-Disc producer Kramer who mixed and mastered their songs at his Noise Miami studio. Impressed with their songwriting ability, Kramer selected 11 tracks from the initial batch of demos and worked with them to create an album to be released on his new Shimmy-500 vinyl-only label. This has resulted in a record that has received a well of support from the likes of Clash Magazine, , The Vinyl District and Destroy/Exist.

My Blood Carries My Dreams Away is out now via Shimmy-500 and available to buy on Bandcamp and iTunes and to stream on Spotify.

Moviestar unveil new single ‘Chosen Ones’!

For fans of... Television, LCD Soundsystem, The Cramps, The Go! Team

"Nothing's off-limits..." - Team Rock

"...an experimental, comic-book-worthy story: It dives into why we, as a society, need heroes more than ever before."
- Atwood Magazine

Intergalactic archeologists Moviestar are here with an extremely important message to spread far and wide. In a time when the media is filled with fake news, Moviestar are here to speak up and save earth from metallic war. Their latest release Chosen Ones isn’t just a single, its a news cast of high importance, sent from the future, as now’s the time to speak up.

The single premiered on Atwood Magazine and is available to stream on the band's Soundcloud page and on Spotify now.

Moviestar are like no other band on earth. Having formed in the future on planet Fenris, Infinity Vik, The Octopus Goddess and The Anaconda create their own unique version of art punk pop, filled with sonic twists and eccentric electronica throughout. The dynamic trio were chosen to go on a dangerous mission through space and time to retrieve “the stone” and save the world. Moviestar were then sent to Norway, the safest nation in the world, in the dreaded year of 2016.

Chosen Ones is a message sent directly from the future. Moviestar want to warn everyone on planet earth about what the future could hold if we don’t wake up and make a change. Infinity Vik explains "The media of today is filled with fake news and jokes. This is merely done to confuse people on earth so that they will not think about searching for the truth. In the future we can not believe that people accept the jokes people are fed. People can’t even grasp the significance of Oumuamua passing by! They are more concerned with President Trump’s golfing.”

Moviestar are not just a band, they are a reality experience. Their live shows encompass performance, art, storytelling, fashion and music in a whole new transcending form. Infinity Vik is a true performer with an explosive stage presence, having been compared to being a female incarnation of the likes of David Bowie and Freddy Mercury.

Chosen Ones, a ‘Peace, Love and Hope Anthem’ from the future, is out now via Oh Yeah!. It is available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify.

Circumnavigate reveal new single ‘Another 20 Seconds’!

For fans of... The Cinematic Orchestra, Of Monsters And Men, Sigur Rós, Billie Marten

"...a finely honed, carefully contoured piece of acoustic pop..."
- Clash

"...graceful and undeniably compelling." - Folk Radio UK

"…it’s a soul-soothing soundscape..."

- M Magazine

Dream-folk quartet Circumnavigate prepare for another beautifully compelling release with their new single, Another 20 Seconds, out now and available to stream on Spotify.

The single premiered on M Magazine and is also available to stream on Circumnavigate's Soundcloud page.

The single was inspired by lead singer Sigrid Zeiner-Gundersen's reading of the romantic novel 'Me Before You' by Jojo Moyes. Sigrid explains “The theme throughout is that longing to have more time with the one you love. We actually wrote the song with the intention of pitching it to the movie adaptation, but we never finished it in time. Turns out we really enjoyed the creation and it has become the lead single from our debut album.” Another 20 Seconds is a stunning piece of alt-folk, filled with cinematic soundscapes akin to the likes of The Cinematic Orchestra and Sigrid’s delicate, warm vocal complementing the musicality perfectly.

Sigrid (vocals/production) met Carl Frederik Kontny (piano/guitar/vocals) at school in Sandvika, Norway, where they would perform covers in school talent competitions. Sigrid later moved to London to study music and met Ross Craib (percussion/vocals) and Charlie Fowler (bass/vocals) through mutual friends. Between them, Circumnavigate have collectively played for some of London's most respected artists including Foxes, Adam Lambert, Sigala, Romans, Gabrielle Aplin, Maverick Sabre and Crystal Fighters to name but a few. They have also been supported by the likes of Music Week, Clash, Folk Radio UK and BBC Introducing Devon, as well as being involved in numerous Hollywood productions for the purposes of music to film.

Catch Circumnavigate live at The Sebright Arms, London on 18th December 2017 - Tickets

Another 20 Seconds is out now and available to stream on Spotify.

Circumnavigate's debut album When Worlds Collides is out on 14th December 2017 and is available to pre-order here.
