The video for 'Open Ground' premiered on Clash Magazine's website, and you can watch it now via the Survivalist YouTube channel and download the song for free via the band's BandCamp page.

Straddling the line between traditional folk and indie electronica, for every lo-fi song on the album, such as ‘Waterworks’ and ‘Onomatophobia’ there is an equally anthemic counterpart, whether it’s the distortion heavy and immediate album opener ‘Open Ground’ or the electro heavy ‘Bubblewrap’. Urvanovic are not a band who can be easily pigeon holed, and their ability to create a noise that’s both deliciously complex and eminently listenable is a credit to their ability as musicians.

Originally created as a studio experiment in Edinburgh, Urvanovic have already received support from the likes of The National, BBC Radio Scotland's Vic Galoway, and The List. The band formed in 2012 as a byproduct of songwriter Tom Irvine’s (vocals, keys, guitar) composition projects at university. He then created a musical collective with the aforementioned Seonaid Stevenson (vocals, trumpet) as well as Niall Sinclair (laptop & keyboard, noises), David Hill (drums, percussion), Emma Donald (violin), Bethany Coyle (violin), Rachel Wilson (cello), David Norris (violin), Amanda Currie (violin), Tim Cais (cello) and Graham Coe (cello) to create the intense and captivating sound you hear on this album.

Amateurs is released via Survivalist and available to buy digitally on iTunes and on limited edition vinyl via BandCamp.

Outblinker release ‘Pink/Blue’ EP!

"...as blissful as they are boisterous." - NME

"This is slick, modern kraut for an uneasy Britain..." - The Skinny

For fans of: Holy Fuck, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Neu!, Fuck Buttons

Outblinker have released their debut EP Pink/Blue. It's available to buy digitally on iTunes and on limited edition 10" vinyl via Bandcamp.

The video for EP track 'Pink' premiered on Clash Magazine's website, and you can watch it now via the Outblinker YouTube channel.

You can also stream the track via the ABoF SoundCloud page.

The Antoni Maiovvi remix of EP track 'Blue' is also available to download for free via the ABoF SoundCloud page.

Outblinker is a band not a brand. Something had to be done about the waves of soulless, corporate electro-shit masquerading as art, clogging up our creative veins. They will not be appearing in-store at Topshop or on Hollyoaks in the near future. They have no plans to release their own perfume. They do not endorse Red Bull. They would, however, like the opportunity to blow your face off with huge, cinematic driving krautrock: abrasive electro music with a throbbing punk-rock heart.

Brothers Costello (Jason & Graham), the duo behind Outblinker, also form the formidable avante-noise duo Young Philadelphia. Luigi Pasquini is one half of astonishing art-rock outfit Kabobo. David Warner and Chris Cusack are ongoing contributors to Foreign Tongue, the latter-day incarnation of Scottish DIY post-punk outfit Hey Enemy. It was partly a sense of moral duty that brought these five individuals together as well as a compulsion to explore new musical terrain and provide live audiences with tunes worth dancing to whilst avoiding a stage dominated by Apple logos and 5-figure, synchronised, cascading LED light-shows.

Alongside choice contemporaries, this quintet are looking to bring electro, krautrock and new-wave back to the underground. Up close and personal. No laptops. No safety net. So it follows all aspects of Outblinker (including recording, production, videos, art) handled in-house or via close friends, such as Good Grief Records who will be releasing the forthcoming EP, PR collaborators A Badge of Friendship or Ben Powers (Fuck Buttons/Blanck Mass) who will be producing the group’s debut album this autumn. The emphasis is on side-stepping the inherent bullshit-machine of the modern industry as often as humanly possible.

The EP has already received support from the likes of NME and The Skinny, so if you enjoy the sounds of Holy FuckGodspeed You! Black EmperorMarvinFuck Buttons/Blanck MassTrans AmNeu! and Turing Machine, then chances are you might get a kick out of this.

Pink/Blue by Outblinker is released via Good Grief Records / GabuAsso and available to buy digitally on iTunes and on limited edition 10" vinyl via Bandcamp.

Introducing… Denim Snakes!

For fans of: FIDLAR, The Answer, Brendan Benson

Strap yourself in and get ready for Denim Snakes to rock your face off!

Like all the best rock, the band’s latest single Stronger comes from a place of heartbreak. It’s about mustering up the strength to carry on by picking up your guitar and powering through. And power through they do, with layered melodies, explosive choruses, meaty riffs and drums that pound through your very soul.

To celebrate the release of their forthcoming single, the band are giving away download track 'Many A Truth Sung In Jest' which you can stream and download for free via the Denim Snakes SoundCloud page.

Denim Snakes are so passionate about their craft, one of them walked four days from Barry in Wales to London just to play a show. If that isn’t dedication, we don’t know what is. Russell Toomey (vocals & guitar) and Jake Ellis Scott (guitar & vocals) met in a twist of fate, when Jake escorted Russell’s date to the local pub. The two found they had a lot in common and began writing together. As for the date, a gentleman never tells.

Mattise Olsohn Clarke (bass & vocals) had been playing around Barry in a number of bands, and was ready to settle down to a rock and roll lifestyle, so he was happy to join. But Denim Snake were still missing a vital part of their lineup - a drummer who could put the fear of god into an audience. Scouring the deepest, darkest parts of the internet, they found Tom Hall (drums), and the circle was complete.

With a single launch planned at Camden’s Barfly on 7th August, and another two singles in the pipeline, Denim Snakes have already tickled the interests of BBC Radio Wales who first named them ‘Introducing Artist Of The Week’ and then ‘Artist Of The Week’, and have been pipped as one of Wales Online’s ’40 Welsh Bands to look out for’. Now they’re ready to grab the spotlight and take on the entire UK.

Stronger is released 7th August via NOTV Records.

Introducing… Kapil Seshasayee!

For fans of: Fuck Buttons, Scott Walker, Big Black

Occupying a space somewhere between the avant-garde and progressive alternative rock, Kapil Seshasayee is carving a name for himself in the air around him, emitting sound waves that dominate the low end and pierce the high. Kapil is one man, surrounding himself in a cocoon of noise that’s both exhilarating to hear and fascinating to watch.

You can stream and download explosive EP opening track 'Host' for free via the ABoF SoundCloud page.

Forthcoming EP, Crimes, ponders the nature of religion and asks those who listen if they are following a tradition for ethical reasons or because they’re so desperate for a place in paradise, they’re willing to get there by any means possible. It’s a weighty theme made even heavier by Kapil’s growling, distorted guitar backed up by intense drum loops and improvised percussion, which brings to mind the later work of Scott Walker as well as the distinctive sound of Big Black and Fuck Buttons. It’s an intense experience that’s not to be taken lightly, but will enlighten those who decide to venture into the sonic wilderness.

From Glasgow, Kapil has created something more complex than the average singer songwriter. He’s supported the likes of Dead Rider, Screaming Females and Alright The Captain, and will be heading out on two UK tours before the end of the year, one supporting this EP and the following supporting his forthcoming single, Brazen.

He is one man, not many as is often assumed, making the loudest noise he can onstage and on record.

Crimes is released via An Automaton Records on 7th August 2015.

If you'd like more information on Kapil Seshasayee or our PR services, please email info@abadgeoffriendship.com.
