Army Of Bones release self-titled debut album!

For fans of... The War On Drugs, Nine Inch Nails, Mutemath

"...a powerfully captivating collection of cinematic, rock-soaked creations." - Gigslutz

Having already built a reputation for their visceral and engaging live shows, Brighton-based band Army Of Bones got together last year to record their self-titled debut album, out now via their own label Bones Music Group.

Ahead of the self-titled release, the band shared their new track 'End Of Time', which premiered on Gigslutz and is now available to stream via the Army Of Bones Soundcloud page.

You can also listen to another album track 'Dont Be Long' via the band's Soundcloud page.

Formed of Martin Smith, Jonny Bird, Reuben Harsant and Steve Evans, Army Of Bones create songs of hope infused with doubt. Produced by Gethin Pearson (The Enemy, JAWS), the album strives to bring things that are in the dark to light - whether that’s the pain of a struggling relationship, the feeling of lack of identity or desperation for a city, the band want us to rise up and realise how vital we all really are.

Following the release of their anthemic double A-side ‘Batteries’/ ‘River’ last year, on their debut album Army Of Bones deliver a collection of emotionally engaging and hauntingly captivating tracks, each oozing a unique, profound power. As frontman Martin Smith sings “Oh my love, in you I’m found, take my hand and I will follow... there’s no fear in our tomorrow...” in ‘Ecclesiastes’, a strong sense of hope is exuded with heart-wrenching force as Smith’s impassioned vocals soar. Musically exquisite and lyrically rich, Army Of Bones is an album that truly believes in the power of music to heal divisions.

Having already received acclaim from The Revue and BBC Introducing, and headlined explosive sold-out shows across the country, with their debut album Army Of Bones look set to become of the stand-out bands of 2017. You can catch the band live at Studio at Komedia in Brighton on 30th March 2017.

Army Of Bones, the self-titled debut album, is out now via Bones Music Group, and is available to buy via iTunes and stream on

Fuzzystar share new video for ‘Angel Transported’!

"...infectious, reverb-strewn hooks..."

- Gigslutz

For fans of... Mark Kozelek, Sun Kil Moon, The Cribs

Edinburgh based artist Andy Thomson - aka Fuzzystar - has revealed the video for the undeniably catchy Angel Transported, which is out now and and available to buy and stream on iTunes and Spotify.

The video premiered on Gigslutz and is now available to stream via Fuzzystar's YouTube channel.

The audio for the single premiered on Impose Magazine and is also available to stream on his Soundcloud page now.

Telegraphing flows with a rich narrative alongside scuzzy melodies and uptempo indie-rock beats. The album is full of catchy riffs akin to The Cribs but with the endearing emotion strewn delicacy of Sun Kil Moon. From the catchy hooks of Angel Transported to the twinkling melodies of emotive ballad ‘Telegraphing’, and the reflective and honest sense of fragility oozing from ‘High Friends’, the new album from Fuzzystar is sure to capture the hearts of many in no time.

Referring to the album’s title, Thomson explains that the songs are about a “mix of love, loss miscommunication, feelings of alienation or being disconnected. Telegraphing to communicate and also indicating something you may not already be aware of yourself, like the physical metaphor for it, often referred to in boxing.”

Andy Thomson has been playing solo and in various line-ups as Fuzzystar for years; starting in Edinburgh, with a stint in London, before returning to Scotland. The band name comes from an appreciation of the bands Big Star and Mazzy Star. Now, Fuzzystar is made up revolving cast of whoever is available at the time, hence the name - a star which looks like one star but is made of lots of other stars.

Angel Transported is out now and available to buy and stream on iTunes and Spotify. Fuzzystar's forthcoming album Telegraphing is out on 28th April 2017 via Satellite Sounds.

Right Said Fred release new album ‘Exactly!’!

Right Said Fred's 9th studio album Exactly! is out now and available to buy on iTunes, Google Play and Pledge Music. It is also available to stream on Spotify and Tidal now.

The brothers Fairbrass, who have been making music as Right Said Fred for over 25-years since their 1991 hit I’m Too Sexy, announced the latest album on ITV’s Lorraine late last year. Following the announcement, their single Sweet Treats premiered on Ken Bruce’s BBC Radio 2 show and the guys headed in to see Chris Evans at Radio 2 as well, performing a special acoustic version of the single and I’m Too Sexy. On the run up to the release, the pair also dropped into the This Morning studio to chat about the album and The Sun premiered the video for Sweet Treats, where instead of blowing their money on a big budget music video, the guys decided to give the money to charity Crisis instead.

You can watch the video for their latest single Sweet Treats via Right Said Fred's YouTube channel now.

The album was two years in the making featuring an array of special guests and Fred and Richard Fairbrass’ signature mix of tongue-in-cheek observational pop. Half of the album was recorded with Paul Statham (Simple Minds, Kylie, Dido) and the other half with Gordon Davis and Jason Glover (who was part of the James Taylor Quartet). The album’s opener ‘Me And You’ is an upbeat pop anthem featuring Jodie Scantlebury who has previously worked with Bryan Ferry. The album’s themes range from simple and fun observations like single ‘Sweet Treats’ inspired by a British Airways dessert, to the more serious. ‘Save Me’, which touches upon depression whilst ‘Raining In England’ is a melancholic song about everything in the world around us is changing but the one thing that can be relied upon - the rain in England.

Right Said Fred are one of the UK’s most enduring pop acts and in the 25 years since I’m Too Sexy’s release, the brothers have reached fans all across the globe, selling in excess of 7 million copies of their debut album Up worldwide, receiving two Ivor Novello’s for I’m Too Sexy and Deeply Dippy as well as a Brit Award nomination for Best British Act. Fred and Richard have also played The Royal Variety Performance, met the Queen, released a track for Comic Relief (Stick It Out) and, most importantly, Richard was voted Rear of the Year by Smash Hits Magazine.

Right Said Fred continue to appear at various special events and TV shows all over the world performing in front of 200,000 people at the 2006 World Cup opening ceremony and 300 million people for the Bollywood Awards plus guest appearances on Good Morning AmericaBig Brother’s Bit On The Side,The Wright StuffLorraineAnt and Dec’s Saturday Night TakeawayPointless and John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight.

However, after 25 years, the brothers remain true to their spirit - they don’t follow trends, they follow their instincts and have fun along the way. Doing music the ‘Right Said Fred’ way has always been the right way and their track record and continued success is testament to that. Long live Right Said Fred!

Catch Right Said Fred live at the following dates, including a headline show in London, TBA:

9th July 2017 - Cornbury Festival - Oxfordshire - Tickets

Introducing… The Barnum Meserve!

For fans of... Nine Inch Nails, Anathema, Starset

“... they could be as huge as their sound.” - Big Cheese Magazine

"... a large sound and careful arrangement..." - RMP Magazine

Turning their back on the traditional rock band set up, The Barnum Meserve aim to breath fresh life into the genre with the release of their epic ten track album When All Is Lost, due for release on 21st April 2017 via 34D Records.

The band's new video for Flight premiered on RMP Magazine and you can also watch it on the band's YouTube channel.

You can also listen to the track on the band's Soundcloud page now.

Sombre, brooding and cathartic are just some words you could use to describe the emotive music created by the Nottingham based three-piece. Despite having the ability to produce a robust, heady alternative sound, they skilfully do so with a cinematic flair and expert musicianship that marks them out from many of their contemporaries. Impressively, The Barnum Meserve are a three-piece rock band who write and perform without the aid of guitars, instead experimenting with piano, bass and drums; and creating an atmospheric record that would be just as impressive emanating from a festival’s main stage as it would appearing on the soundtrack of a classic b-movie disaster flick.

Opening track Flight sets the tone for the rest of the album as The Barnum Meserve race out of the blocks, immediately showcasing their distinctive sound as the metronomic rhythm section drives proceedings on relentlessly, piano soaring euphorically, all merged beautifully by the unique vocal range exhibited by Leon Wiley (vocals, piano). While there are elements of introspection evident throughout the record, The Barnum Meserve excel in building layer upon layer of soundscapes, producing a uniquely apocalyptic soundtrack, and emphasising their diverse love of music ranging from Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden to Hans Zimmer and Clint Mansell.

Having been in a number of alternative rock bands over the years, The Barnum Meserve were formed in 2007 by Leon and Dylan Griffiths (bass), who later added Paul Moss (drums), with the desire of creating a dynamic different from what they had been previously exposed to. They have not looked back since having written two EPs, released their debut album in 2015, picking up support from the likes of Big Cheese Magazine, Prog Magazine, Team Rock and Bring The Noise.

When All Is Lost by The Barnum Meserve is out on 21st April 2017 via 34D Records.
