The Murder Barn release ‘Gotta Good Man’ video!

Earthy rock six-piece, The Murder Barn are gearing-up for their debut EP release Gotta Good Man out on 5th November 2012. Ahead of the EP's release, they've released the video for 'Gotta Good Man'.
You can watch the full video on the band's YouTube channel.
They also recently released the free MP3 "In Every Sea We Drown". The track does not feature on the forthcoming EP but you can download it from The Murder Barn's Bandcamp page. You can also stream it via the A Badge of Friendship Soundcloud page.
The video for the track is also available to watch via The Murder Barn's YouTube channel.
Gotta Good Man EP is a cinematic trawl through dusty tracks, scorched corn fields and into dark taverns - taking musical lineage from The Band, Scott Walker, Ennio Morricone, Elton John, Wilco, 16 Horsepower, Black Mountain and The Bad Seeds. The Murder Barn weave mesmerising and bombastic creations, each song telling tall tales. Singer Chesca Dolecka's songs bare boned, are laconic, romantic, funny, and horrifying, but are fleshed out into full landscapes by the band. Their epic, filmic arrangements feature laviscious string and horn sections, Ronson-esque guitars and melotrons.
Anglo Polish / Lebanese Sisters Chesca Dolecka and Becca Grover Jones have been making music together since they were children, drawing on a rich family heritage of classical violinists, big band trumpeters, drummers and storytellers. In 2011 they were joined by Matt Jones (Minuteman, Ultrasound, Jamie T and Beady Eye), producer Kevin Feazey (The Fierce and the Dead, The Kills, Lydia Lunch, The Duke Spirit), childhood friend Ryan Wilson and Serbian drummer Velibor Krstic to begin work on The Murder Barn. The band have a fierce work ethic and desire to create their own world, a whirlwind of creativity and excitement, a self contained art house of ideas.
The six members of The Murder Barn have spent a year locked in their studio - a homegrown, home-built, Warhol-esque (also called 'The Murder Barn'), secretly amassing an arsenal of material, recording an album, singles, artwork and films. All films are created in house by Becca Grover Jones, record sleeves by Chesca Dolecka and additional artwork by members of the band.

Pipers single ‘Ask me For A Cigarette’ Out Now!

Italian three piece Pipers today release their gorgeous single, Ask Me For A Cigarette.
Ask Me For A Cigarette perfectly encapsulates the band's new found folk sound - chiming piano, expertly picked acoustic guitars and heartfelt lyrics all knitted together by gorgeous strings, harmonies and skillful drumming. The video for the single has already gained support from the likes of Contactmusic, Popdose and God Is In The TV with the band looking to push the track in the run up to the release of an album in 2013.
Ask Me For A Cigarette is available to stream from our Soundcloud page.
Formed in 2007, Pipers have undergone a number of changes over the last few years. The band, comprised of Stefano de Stefano (vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica), Stefano 'Stoo' Bruno (bass, mandolin, backing vocals) and Marco Magnacca (drums, backing vocals), developed their sound from electric tinged indie pop to a more mature, layered alt-folk pop sound that has seen them capture the hearts and minds of a number of Britain's most celebrated musicians and bands.
Over the last couple of years, Pipers have been personally chosen by Tim Burgess to support The Charlatans in Italy, as well earning a support slot with Ian Brown. The band were also invited to play at a number of UK festivals including Liverpool Sound City, Matthew Street Festival and Creamfields, as their star continued to rise. In 2009 the boys signed with indie label Materia Principale and in early 2010, Pipers debut album, No One But Us, was released to critical acclaim in Europe.
Having spent 2011 touring and rehearsing their new material, Pipers have returned with a refreshed sound more akin to the likes of Elliot Smith and Turin Brakes. The band also scored their first big support slot in the UK when they supported Turin Brakes in Northampton in June 2012 setting up a rousing end to the year and the highly anticipated release of their second album in 2013.
Ask Me For A Cigarette, is out now via Alvea Records and can be downloaded from Amazon and all good online stores.

Three Blind Wolves release single ‘Parade’

"Stadium sized melodies and four-part harmonies without diving headlong into a pool full of clichés..." - MOJO Magazine
Scotland's Three Blind Wolves release their debut single Parade today via Instinctive Racoon. The single is also available as a limited edition 7-inch release (only 300 pressed), which you can buy now via the band's official website.
The single has already gained the attention of XFM's John Kennedy (featured in John's Top 5), BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1 Scotland. The boys also recently headed down to London to record a session with Dermot O'Leary for his BBC Radio 2 show.
The video for Parade is available to watch now via the band's YouTube channel.
Their sound couldn't be more different from their native Glasgow, a city covered with atmospheric grey skies, enclosed by heavy Victorian and Charles Rennie Mackintosh, "Glasgow style" architecture. The four-piece channel vintage Americana influences, with Parade transporting you to the sleepy towns and vast landscapes of the American frontier.
"Parade is about feeling lost, forlorn and disconnected from your personal life and the city you life in," says lead vocalist Ross Clark. "The one thing that will keep you going is that special someone that will keep you moving forward awaiting the good times, whether they come or not, the important thing is that you keep pushing through." Parade captures this feeling perfectly with melancholic guitars and vocals coming together with the rest of the band capturing the feeling of trucking on, crescendoing on a positive note. The single is brilliantly composed and highlights Three Blind Wolves as one of Scotland's most promising young bands.
The band will be playing shows throughout the UK in October and November, for the latest updates, check out Three Blind Wolves website.
Death Rattle release debut EP ‘HE&l’

Death Rattle are Helen and Chris Hamilton - an enigmatic, dark electro duo based in London. Their debut EP HE&I is out now via Frontal Noize.
If you'd like a little taster of the EP, it's available as an exclusive stream on The 405.
They've already caused a stir with their latest video for EP track, "Fixer", the final part of their visual trilogy, which includes the band's' first two videos for 'The Dig' and 'Do As You Please'.
From start to finish, HE&I sends shivers down your spine. Like a sensual futuristic android, Helen's dark and droning vocal harmonies create a robotic feel to 'The Dig' with Chris's beats akin to a mechanical heart thumping underneath - this is Death Rattle' war cry and signature style. Increasing the tempo, 'Do As You Please' follows perfectly with the band' bold, tribal-esque beats playing a big part once more behind Helen's dark and evocative lyrics. Although the duo keep their signature beats and mesmerising vocals consistent, they present many more layers to unravel as the last three tracks unfold. 'Fixer' is the dark, mutated lovechild of Sleigh Bells and Friendly Fires - beguiling and rebellious with an enticingly memorable chorus. 'Mouse Chorus' slows the pace to a gentle hypnotic canter and their fifth and final track 'Sorry For Your Loss' seems the perfect end to such a mesmerising journey.
Death Rattle's first release HE&I, is a fascinating and daring debut and an exciting glimpse of what's in store as the pair prepare for a UK and European tour later this year and a debut album release in 2013.
