"Fragrant, intoxicating, and wholly beguiling..."
- Clash Magazine

"sultry electronic-pop vibes..."
- A Music Blog Yea?

"...hook-laden, electronic lit melodies with a distinctive indie-pop flair..."
- EQ Music Blog

For fans of... MGMT, The 1975, Foster The People, Passion Pit

Following the release of their last single, 2016’s Atomic Blonde, Edinburgh five-piece Rebel Westerns are back with another uplifting indie-pop track Envy, out now via Get Strange and available to buy and stream on iTunes and Spotify

The video for the single premiered on A Music Blog Yea? and is now streaming via the Rebel Westerns YouTube channel.

The audio for Envy premiered on Gigslutz, which you can now stream on the Rebel Westerns Soundcloud page.

Propelled by driving beats and the band’s trademark synth-filled melodies, Envy is another slice of twinkling indie-pop from the Rebel Westerns. Reminiscent of the likes of MGMT, the track reflects on feelings of anxiety and self doubt which are juxtaposed with its euphoric, uptempo musical layers. As Dominic Thomson’s impassioned vocals flow alongside energy-fuelled catchy hooks, Rebel Westerns prove yet again their knack for creating truly infectious, and utterly danceable, anthems.

Formed by four school friends Dominic Thomson (vocals, guitar), Callum Munro (bass), Glen Gordon (keyboard) and Daniel Garvie (drums), the band have recently expanded their line-up with the addition of John Cargill (guitar) adding an extra layer to an already impressive sound. Rebel Westerns have received airplay from BBC Radio 2 and Amazing Radio, as well as acclaim from the likes of Clash, EQ Music and Gigslutz, and with packed out gigs at Glasgow’s King Tuts and Edinburgh Fringe Festival under their belts, Rebel Westerns look set to take 2017 by storm with their cascading, vibrant sound.

Envy by Rebel Westerns is out now via Get Strange and available to buy and stream on iTunes and Spotify

Gallery 47 announces new single ‘Lefty’!

For fans of... Ultimate Painting, Andrew Bird, Morgan Delt, Devendra Banhart

“…Jeff Buckley-esque vibrato with

sheer youthful exuberance…”

- Drowned in Sound

Singer-songwriter Gallery 47 aka Jack Peachey returns with with another delicately weaved collection of captivating alt-folk tracks on his latest EP Bad Production, out on 5th May 2017 via Bad Production Records.

The first single to be taken form the EP Lefty premiered on Northern Transmissions and is also available to stream via Jack's Soundcloud page now.

Potentially his most politically influenced release yet, Bad Production feels as though it couldn’t have arrived at a more appropriate time. Forthcoming singles Lefty, Political Differences and EP track ‘Overflow’ were written as a result of an alcohol-infused dispute between Peachey and some family members who commented negatively on today’s youth and their approach to finding work. This is an issue Jack has struggled with himself, making this release even more relatable and poignant. The other tracks on the EP follow in a similar vein, filled with Jack’s signature intricate guitar picking and a storytelling charm akin to the likes of Bob Dylan and Jeff Buckley’s unique ability to create soft, bittersweet tales of melancholy.

Gallery 47 originally formed ten years ago as a six-piece band in Loughborough. Once the band went their separate ways, Jack decided to continue as a solo artist under the same name, becoming a regular on the live circuit in Nottingham and currently in his new home of South East London.

Amongst Jack’s supporters are BBC Radio 2‘s Bob Harris, BBC 6music’s Tom Robinson, BBC Radio Nottingham’s Dean Jackson, The Guardian, Drowned in Sound and Folk Radio to name a few. Gallery 47 has also supported a number of well established acts like Paul Weller, Alice Phoebe Loe, Ian McCulloch and Andrew Montgomery as well as playing on the BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park.

With Bad Production, Jack tells an intriguing story of discrimination, sibling rivalry, school politics and drug abuse entwined with intelligent lyricism and beautiful arrangements.

Bad Production by Gallery 47 is due for release on 5th May 2017 via Bad Production Records.

The Calm Fiasco release ‘The Fear’ EP!

For fans of... Two Door Cinema Club, The Strokes, The Walkmen

“Sharp-edged guitar riffery collides with

anthemic songwriting, with just a slight

hint of something darker. "
- Clash

"...a perfect slice of hooky indie-rock..." - A Music Blog Yea?

“…buzzes with raw riffs and infectious hooks…" - Gigslutz

The Calm Fiasco are delighted to announce the release of their EP The Fear out now via Chewy Records and available to stream on Spotify and buy on iTunes.

It's been a busy period for the band with their video for single Sorry I'm Late Again premiering on A Music Blog Yea?, with the full EP being unveiled exclusively on Clash Magazine's website, rounding off a successful few months for the Glaswegian four-piece.

First single release Just Don't Care Anymore premiered on Gigslutz and is available to stream on the band's Soundcloud page.

The Fear finds the band in scintillating form as they aim to build upon the success of their 2016 single Lose Control, which premiered on Clash Magazine. Managing to convey an in-your-face attitude while producing memorable hooks and choruses, The Calm Fiasco have created a record without losing the essence of an authentically raw, live performance. Taking inspiration from the angular, fuzzy riffs made famous by the likes of Television, and later The Strokes, allied to the contemporary indie-pop hooks of Two Door Cinema Club and Phoenix, The Fear is an impressive accomplishment achieved by a band who’s sound continues to progress with each and every release. This is apparent throughout the EP, full of tracks that wouldn’t sound out of place rocking the main stage of any summer festival. Driven bass lines are accented menacingly by swirling guitar pieces, effected vocals and catchy harmonies as The Calm Fiasco create a heady mix of indie, pop and rock with a Glaswegian twist.

Hailing from Glasgow and comprising Del Morin (lead vocals/guitar), Greg Totten (lead guitar/backing vocals), Harry Fleming (bass/backing vocals) and Andy McInnes (drums), the the band came together in 2012 after bonding over a shared love of music both past and present. Fast forward just a few years and they have already picked up a well of support from the likes of Clash Magazine, Little Indie Blogs, Gigslutz, Tenement TV, Amazing Radio, The Daily Record, The Sun and The Sunday Mail.

The Fear by The Calm Fiasco is out now via Chewy Records and available to stream on Spotify and buy on iTunes.

Maria Kelly returns with new single ‘Far Below’!

For fans of... Lucy Rose, Wildes, Billie Marten, Daughter

"...a glorious concoction full of ear-pleasing tones and immense emotion...."
- The Line Of Best Fit

"...a song which pinpoints the Co Mayo native’s songcraft when it comes to tapping emotion and poignancy."
- The Irish Times

"...silky smooth vocals that spin widely relatable tales."
- Consequence of Sound

Irish singer-songwriter Maria Kelly returns with her most poignant and honest release to date. Her debut EP The Things I Should, out on 19th May 2017 via Veta Records, is a stunning collection of emotionally gripping tracks performed with purity and grace.

The first single to be taken from the EP Far Below premiered on The Irish Times and is also available to stream via Maria's Soundcloud page now.

The EP is based around Maria’s struggle with self-expression and how, by always trying to please others, you can lose a part of yourself in the process. Maria explains, “these four songs are written about four different personal experiences, where a lack of honest expression at the outset had created a much bigger problem in the long run”. Opening track Torn Into Two immediately displays Maria’s signature fragile vocal tone as well as her incredibly earnest songwriting abilities akin to the likes of Lucy Rose and Billie Marten. Each track on the EP builds intricately alongside Kelly’s soaring vocal, with a captivating string arrangement throughout adding the final touch.

Growing up in Mayo, Ireland, Maria spent many years crafting and developing her sound into a stunning combination of delicate indie-folk. She has been writing music since the age of 10 and is currently studying at BIMM Dublin where she met her backing band. Maria also regularly works with Matt Harris (HAWK) who produced this EP as well as her critically acclaimed singles Before It Has Begun, Black & Blue and Stitches. Maria has already played numerous shows in both the UK and Ireland supporting the likes of James Vincent McMorrow and Orla Gartland. 2017 sees Maria back on the road again co-headlining alongside Ailbhe Reddy as well playing The Great Escape Festival on 18th May 2017.

Maria has previously received praise from various online publications including Consequence of Sound, The 405 and The Line of Best Fit to name a few, as well as Radio X. She was also featured in The Irish Times’ ‘Top 50 Songs of 2016’ and ‘Top 50 People To Watch in 2017’. With The Things I Should, Maria hopes to continue to rise as she introduces listeners to her most sincere release yet.

You can catch Maria perform on her Far At Sea tour with Ailbhe Reddy at the following dates:

29th April - Spraoi Studios, Waterford
3rd May - Róisín Dubh, Galway
5th May - Connollys, Leap, Cork

Introducing… Matt and The Beanstalk!

For fans of... Bastille, Kodaline, Imagine Dragons, The Naked and Famous

"...oozes anthemic, sweeping melodies and emotion-strewn vocals..."
- Gigslutz

Matt & The Beanstalk creates uplifting, inspirational pop on his debut single Symphony. The track, released on 14th April 2017 via Beanstalk Records, combines soaring melodies and a brass-infused indie sound that was produced and created with the help of Newcastle based producer Bramwell Bronte.

Symphony premiered on Gigslutz and is now available to stream via Matt and The Beanstalk's Soundcloud page.

Symphony explores the story of a metaphorical angel who struggles to believe in herself, yet doesn’t realise that she’s already proven herself to society. Love is a key topic that surrounds the song, as it’s love that drives her to success throughout. The track itself is energetic and fun in contrast to the lyrics. “Matt” writes lyrics that focuses on dissimilarities and allow the listeners to create their own concepts and tell their own story.

Matt & The Beanstalk is a brand new project of the Nottingham based artist, brand new to the scene since November 2016. The fact that both Bramwell Bronte and “Matt” were the only two to play all the instruments on the single is an impressive start to his musical journey and with influences like Kate Bush, Hall and Oates and Darwin Deez we can only expect to hear more memorable melodies from Matt in 2017.

Matt & The Beanstalk’s single Symphony is out on 14th April 2017 via Beanstalk Records.
