Kapil Seshasayee releases free download ‘Whatever Was Arranged’!

For fans of: Fuck Buttons, Scott Walker, Big Black

Kapil Seshasayee has released 'Whatever Was Arranged', a free download track taken from his forthcoming re-released EP Crimes.

You can download the track for free via the ABoF SoundCloud page and experience Kapil's intense industrial rhythms and distinctive voice for yourself.

You can also stream and download explosive EP opening track 'Host' for free via the ABoF SoundCloud page.

Crimes, ponders the nature of religion and asks those who listen if they are following a tradition for ethical reasons or because they’re so desperate for a place in paradise, they’re willing to get there by any means possible. It’s a weighty theme made even heavier by Kapil’s growling, distorted guitar backed up by intense drum loops and improvised percussion, which brings to mind the later work of Scott Walker as well as the distinctive sound of Big Black and Fuck Buttons. It’s an intense experience that’s not to be taken lightly, but will enlighten those who decide to venture into the sonic wilderness.

He is one man, not many as is often assumed, making the loudest noise he can onstage and on record.

Crimes is re-released via An Automaton Records on 7th August 2015.

Adam Cleaver announces ‘Man or Beast’ EP!

"…poetic lyricism is matched to a voice capable of swooping up into the heavens." - Clash

For fans of: Thom Yorke, Fleet Foxes, Iron & Wine

Adam Cleaver writes captivating alternative folk as he captures his own personal journey through his twenties - a wistful and sometimes tongue-in-cheek glance into Adam’s world.

The video for single and EP track The Salt Mine premiered on Clash Magazine's website, and you can watch it now via Adam Cleaver's YouTube channel.

You can also stream and download the single for free via Adam's SoundCloud page.

Filled with rumbling drum beats, anthemic riffs and Adam’s entrancing vocals, Man or Beast is an enthralling listen from start to finish. Each track marks a point of artistic evolution for Cleaver as he sings about his struggle to reach honesty whilst dealing with a wealth of emotions that feel all too human. Man or Beast is an EP that questions fears, anxieties and trust.

The title track and second single from the EP is very personal for Cleaver. The single is about making big decisions and the drastic changes they may bring but Adam is all about the bigger picture and ultimately that’s the message of the single - something everyone can relate to at any point in their life. Musically, Adam’s influences range from Fleet Foxes to Iron & Wine, however, on the EP he hones these influences with a modern edge think Fleet Foxes meets Hozier but with Adam’s signature sweet, beguiling vocals.

Adam Cleaver worked with Matt Harris (HAWK) on Man or Beast creating a beautiful, organic sound prevalent throughout the EP. Adam has already received support from BBC 6Music’s Lauren Laverne who featured Adam’s The Salt Mine as her ‘Headphones Moment’ as well as playing the track multiple times on her show. The Salt Mine has also been featured on ClashAmazing Radio and John Kennedy’s XFM show but with this forthcoming EP, Adam is raising the stakes and is ready to show us what he’s really made of.

Man or Beast is out on September 18th via Veta Records.

Ded Rabbit EP ‘Moving In Slow Motion’ out now!

“... classic Indie sound”
- Vic Galloway, BBC Radio Scotland

"[a] blistering Indie belter..." - Gigwise

“An exciting live band that will appeal widely and who are definitely festival-ready” - David Balfour, Record Of The Day

For fans of: Jamie T, Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Wombats

Ded Rabbit's EP Moving In Slow Motion is out now via Ded Rabbit Records. It's available to buy digitally on iTunes and BandCamp.

The video for EP opening track 'Scarlet Cardigan' premiered on Gigwise who described it as a ”blistering Indie belter." You can watch Scarlet Cardigan now via Ded Rabbit’s YouTube page.

You can stream and download the track, which premiered on Gigslutz, for free via the band's SoundCloud page.

Ded Rabbit have held nothing back in creating a fast paced and undeniably British sound, but with subtle shades of New York’s underground garage rock scene due to their sheer, unbridled energy. Things take a breather for ‘Step Of Your Shoes’, but don’t be fooled - you’re only a verse away from another burst of intensity, showcasing the band’s ability to toy with the listener’s expectations. EP closer and title track ‘Moving In Slow Motion’ serves as a masterclass in indie pop, with catchy hooks and lyrical tone that could sit well beside the likes of Jamie T and Catfish & The Bottlemen.

Ded Rabbit are brothers Eugene (vocals, rhythm guitar), Fergus (lead guitar), Donal (bass) and Eoin Gaine (drums). Originally from Yorkshire, they relocated to the Highlands in 1996 and, through isolation and a developing love of music, they began playing together ten years ago. After moving to Edinburgh they started taking their music more seriously. They finally found their feet in the studio while working on their last three EPs in Glasgow with Rocket Science Studios, who have recorded the likes of Texas, Belle And Sebastian, and Dougie MacLean to name but a few.

To support the release of their EP, Ded Rabbit played the T Break Stage at this year's T In The Park and headed out on a tour of the UK. You can catch them live at the following dates:

22 July - Zanzibar - Liverpool
24 July - Verve Bar - Leeds
01 August - Sneaky Pete's - Edinburgh
08 August The Jazz Bar - Edinburgh

Moving In Slow Motion is released via Ded Rabbit Records and available to buy digitally on iTunes and BandCamp.

Watch Denim Snakes’ video for ‘Stronger’!

For fans of: FIDLAR, The Answer, Brendan Benson

Denim Snakes have released the video to their forthcoming single Stronger, released 7th August via NOTV Records.

The video premiered on GigSlutz who described the single as "an intense, anthemic ballad." You can watch it now via the band's YouTube channel.

Like all the best rock, Stronger comes from a place of heartbreak. It’s about mustering up the strength to carry on by picking up your guitar and powering through. And power through they do, with layered melodies, explosive choruses, meaty riffs and drums that pound through your very soul.

The band are also giving away download track 'Many A Truth Sung In Jest' to celebrate the release of their forthcoming single. You can stream and download the song for free via the Denim Snakes SoundCloud page.

With a single launch planned at Camden’s Barfly on 7th August, and another two singles in the pipeline, Denim Snakes have already tickled the interests of BBC Radio Wales who first named them ‘Introducing Artist Of The Week’ and then ‘Artist Of The Week’, and have been tipped as one of Wales Online’s ’40 Welsh Bands to look out for’. Now they’re ready to grab the spotlight and take on the entire UK.

Stronger is released 7th August via NOTV Records.

Introducing… Flower Fellow!

For fans of: Lucy Rose, Julia Stone, Feist

“... an incredibly confident and certain offering...” - IDOL Magazine

"...outstanding..." - Drunken Werewolf

“...exceptional and captivating...” - Gigslutz

Flower Fellow aka Colette Olive may be only seventeen but she’s a child of the seventies at heart. She expresses her bohemian bliss through flowers, flowers everywhere with her latest single Madman conveying her hippy-folk influences via wistful vocals and melodies.

You can stream the single and discover Flower Fellow's gorgeous sound for yourself via her SoundCloud page.

Madman is an enchanting folk tale filled with rumbling bass and Colette’s powerful, yet gentle voice creating a beautifully layered wall of sound. Colette’s voice has a brilliant edge to it, but with the tenderness of Lucy Rose.

Hailing from a quiet town on the outskirts of London, Colette’s influences were icons such as Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley and Stevie Nicks. She also found inspiration in literature, particularly Sylvia Plath and Virginia Wolf, however, it was her move to London to begin Art College when she truly felt like she belonged.

Flower Fellow has already caught the attention of the likes of BBC Introducing, IDOL Magazine and Drunken Werewolf as well as playing live sessions for Mahogany, Daytrotter and Fortitude Magazine.

Madman is out on September 4th via Circus City Records.
