Introducing… Fresh Legs

Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank’s favourites and Bestival sensations Fresh Legs follow-up on an amazing summer of action-packed gigging, writing and recording with their debut release for Sotones Records.
Southampton gig and club-goers have known that Fresh Legs were something special since early 2008, when the energetic four-piece, fronted by live-wire Ella blew audiences away supporting fellow indie-pop gems Thomas Tantrum. Championed by TT, a support slot for Fight Like Apes followed.
Others began to take notice, and their recording debut – Chess was released in early 2009 on Yada Yada. The record attracted national attention in the form of airplay on BBC 6Music and Radio 1. Rob da Bank took the band to his heart, and repeat plays and a personal the aforementioned Bestival invitation followed.
Leaping at the opportunity to work with up-and-coming bookers The Mixed Tape Agency (Die!Die!Die!; Situationists), the band soon found themselves plunged into a hectic series of summer gigs including a prime slot on the main stage at Southsea Fest.
Fresh Legs’ Julian EP (released on May 3rd 2010) is fun, unabashed indie goodness. You can literally feel Ella’s passion and energy come across with each little explosive track. Step aside music lovers – Fresh Legs have arrived!

ABoF on Amazing Radio!

You can listen to us chat about winkle pickers, why bands *shouldn't* sound like their auditioning for the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack and the teletubbies on acid... Yes, we DID manage to mention all those things whilst critiquing these bands... that's just how we roll!
The show we guested on is called It's Amazing and you can listen to us tomorrow (Thursday 25th February) at 7pm. The show is repeated on Saturday 27th February at 3pm.
Listen HERE.
Amazing Radio is a national DAB station which plays music by unsigned artists 24-hours a day. The songs they play are all taken from the directory at www.amazingtunes.com, so any band who uploads their material to the website is eligible for airplay, provided they aren't PRS-registered. Bands can simply create a profile and upload songs.
The station provides musicians with a platform so that visitors to amazingtunes.com can download their songs for 79p each. Of that fee, 70% will go straight to the artist, every time someone buys their track.
So go support those wee bands now! Listen to Amazing Radio and, if you like what you hear, purchase some tracks!
Happy listening!
