Architects Of Grace return with ‘Outsiders’ EP!

For fans of... David Sylvian, Brian Eno, Talk Talk

Architects of Grace return with EP Outsiders, due for release on December 9th 2016 via Out Of Nowhere. Headed by Duncan Robert, Architects of Grace’s return is an invigorated call to arms after the 2011 release of debut album Moments In Time.

Although Robert prefers listeners to garner meaning from the songs themselves, the basis of Architects of Grace’s music lies in the minutiae of human emotion - feelings of being an outsider, going against the tide, what it means to trust and spend time with someone you love.

The video for the 'Stay To Say' is now available to stream via the Architects Of Grace YouTube channel.

Taking time out has evolved Robert as a songwriter and each track has more depth, but the layers of Architects of Grace’s signature dark gothgaze sound remain, which especially felt on track ‘Stay To Stay’. There’s also a filmic quality to the EP and an underlying melancholy that is a step beyond where Duncan left us in 2011. “I was planning a record straight after the first album, but apart from a couple of good songs the material wasn't all there,” explains Robert. “I'm the writer so I had to let it arrive over time. I feel I'm a better songwriter now.”

Previous Architects of Grace supporters include Classic Rock Magazine, Artrocker, DIY and Rock Sound all noting Duncan’s love for atmospheric, cinematic layered tones while also capturing a memorable energetic chorus. The new EP feels like a new lease of life for Architects of Grace as Duncan Robert treads new ground with his own brand of modern gothgaze, preparing to unleash more music in 2017.

Outsiders is out December 9th 2016 via Out Of Nowhere.

Animal House reveal new video for ‘Domino’!

“... Snappy, punchy songwriting...”
- Clash

"...packed full with unapologetically cheeky gems..."

- A Music Blog, Yea?

For fans of... The Strokes, Cage The Elephant, Twin Peaks, Dune Rats

Australian indie-rockers Animal House have released their quirky new video for latest single Domino, taken from the energy-fuelled forthcoming EP Sorry, released on 18th November 2016.

The video premiered on A Music Blog, Yea? and is also available to watch on Animal House's YouTube channel.

The audio for the single premiered on Gigslutz and you can also stream the track via the band's Soundcloud page.

Having already received critical acclaim for their single English Girls, Animal House’s new EP is filled with witty lyrical storytelling, racing riffs and infectious choruses. With its undeniably catchy, high-energy garage-infused sound, reminiscent of the likes of The Strokes and The Raconteurs, Sorry oozes a welcome tongue-in-cheek attitude.

Animal House explains that Sorry is an “apology to our parents, friends, past employers who put their faith in us to lead a sweet and comfortable life in Aus and instead we’ve blown all that on a shot at making music”. Remembering the hedonistic adventures they’ve had whilst making music, the band admit they’re actually ‘not sorry’, and revel in the fun they’ve been having in the UK on each vibrant and uptempo track.

Finally settled in the UK, Animal House have already supported the likes of Courtney Barnett, Surfer Blood and Drenge to name a few. They have also received praise from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Sean Keaveny, NME, DIY and Clash. They now hope to continue charming listeners with their “stupid garage pop songs” on Sorry.

Catch Animal House live at the following dates:

28th October - Bleach - Brighton
2nd November - Rubi - Barcelona
3rd November - La Burbuja - Castellon
4th November - Sala Rockstar - Benidorm
5th November - TNT Blues Bar - Cox
6th November - Fun House - Madrid
9th November - The New - Santander
11th November - Bukowski - San Sebastian
12th November - Bar Arrasate - Arrasate
14th November - Pop In - Paris
15th November - De Hip - Deventer
16th November - De Kroeg - Arnhem
17th November - Vera - Groningen
18th November - Boothill Saloon - Amersfoort
29th November - Birthdays - London

Single Domino and EP Sorry are both out on 18th November 2016.

The Van T’s unveil single ‘Fun Garçon’!

“...music that deserves to be played at ear-threatening decibels to as many people as possible.” - Noisey

"...a surf rock band, but only if your idea of surfing involves getting pummeled by a giant wave..."- Consequence of Sound

"...packed with attitude..." - Dork

“...sounding big, drenched in feedback...” - Huw Stephens BBC Introducing

For fans of: Sunflower Bean, Honeyblood, Black Honey, Hinds

Four-piece surf rock band The Van T’s, are back with a bang as they get set to release their reverb-drenched single Fun Garçon, out on 25th November via Bloc+Music.

2016 has been a breakout year for the Glaswegians having released their EP A Coming of Age to critical acclaim in July. Gaining premiere’s on Huw Stephens BBC Radio Introducing show, Noisey, Consequence of Sound and Clash Magazine the band’s name has begun to resonate from the UK to the US and beyond.

Now, the four-piece look set to pick up exactly where they left off with the release of single Fun Garçon, which premiered exclusively on Dork. You can now stream the track for free on The Van T's Soundcloud page.

The track encapsulates all the great elements of a band who exude talent way beyond their youthfulness; relentless guitar washes over the listener like the sound of a crashing wave, as the duel vocals of twin sisters Hannah (guitar, vocals) and Chloe Van Thompson (guitar, vocals) amplify the diner-like retro feel the song already has, fused together beautifully by the tight rhythm section headed up by Joanne Forbes (bass) and Shaun Hood (drums).

The release of Fun Garçon will complete what has been a wonderful year for the band. Having already supported Honeyblood and Catholic Action in the last twelve months, they have since added stints with Yuck, Sunflower Bean and Rat Boy, who personally chose the band to play. The band followed these support slots by appearing at festivals such as T in The Park, headlining the BBC Introducing stage, Electric Fields, Wide Days and Stag and Dagger. They also picked up further press from the likes of The Scotsman, Beat Surrender, Backseat Mafia, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing Scotland, where they recently performed a superb live session, culminating in a nomination at this years Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

Fun Garçon by The Van T’s is due for release on 25th November 2016 via Bloc+Music.
