Death Rattle - Fortress EP

For fans of... The Knife, Zola Jesus, Bat For Lashes

London based girl/boy duo Death Rattle release their eagerly anticipated second EP Fortress today via Frontal Noize. This four track EP follows on from HE&I, which saw support from John Kennedy (XFM), Tom Robinson (BBC 6Music) and Amazing Radio.

The 405 gave it a brilliant review saying the EP was "remarkably intense and erotic" whilst The Music Fix called it an "unsettling fifteen minutes of electro-pop". The Line of Best Fit noted the sound on title track 'Fortress' as "Lynchian-grade dystopian opera." VICE Magazine's music channel Noisey and Gold Flake Paint will also feature tracks from the EP later in the week.

As a precursor to Fortress Death Rattle released the free track The Blows. Amazing Radio championed the track along with respected blogger The Von Pip Musical Express.

Fortress is available to stream now via Death Rattle's website and Soundcloud page. The band will be on tour in May with a London show planned at The Waiting Room on May 21st.

The/Das - Speak Your Mind Speak

For fans of... Matthew Dear, Darkstar, The Notwise

Berlin based duo, The/Das introduce their unique brand of '"techno tenderness" with their debut EP Speak Your Mind Speak, out now via Sinnbus.

The 405 said of the EP: "It's subversive electro-pop with dashes of neo-jazz and indie-rock". Their label recently released a stream of the EP track 'Keep This' via their Soundcloud account with Notion Magazine and Artrocker hailing the bands understated sound. The single Have No Fear is also out now and available to stream via the Sinnbus Soundcloud page.

With the release of their debut EP Speak Your Mind Speak, The/Das prove to be one of the leaders and innovators of their genre, showcasing their pop sensibilities as they did with Bodi Bill yet with an edgy toned down vibe making them an exciting prospect for 2013.
