James Mackenzie’s EP ‘Winter’ out now!

For fans of: Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Iron & Wine, Charlie Simpson

James Mackenzie has released his latest EP Winter via Tornface Music. It's available to buy digitally on BandCamp.

James deals in heartfelt lyrics and sumptuous guitar melodies. On Winter he has chosen to take listeners on a journey through some of the most private moments of his life, opening up his heart for all to see and casting a probing eye on past failed relationships, and how they helped form the man that he is today. Instead of pure introspection, James steps outside of himself, with the help of co-writer Chris Gorman, to gain better perspective and deeper understanding.

To celebrate the release of 'Winter', James is giving away EP track
'It's All Good'. You can download it for free via the ABoF SoundCloud page.

The video for gorgeous EP track 'Maybe' premiered on GigSlutz who described it as "Heartwarming", and you can watch it now via James Mackenzie's YouTube channel.

With Influences ranging from Neil Young to Charlie Simpson, along with a long-lasting love affair with heavy metal, James’ sound undulates between the accessibility of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and the passion of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, landing somewhere in the middle to create something truly unique. He’s already received support from the likes of BBC Introducing’s Ally McCrae as well as XFM’s Jim Gellatly and The Daily Record, and has supported Midge Ure, Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble and played the main stage at festivals such as Belladrum, Tartan Heart and Rockness.

James will spend the rest of 2015 performing live in and around Scotland and working in the studio on his new album.

Winter is released via Tornface Music and available to buy digitally on BandCamp.
