Dante are pleased to announce the free download of their single, Wake, out now via Stitch Records.

Wake is the title track taken from the critically acclaimed album of the same name, released earlier this year, and showcases the band’s ability to instinctively span genres with a flair and panache many of their contemporaries would be proud of. On Wake the band illustrate their capacity to create traditional Celtic tunes that fit into a modern landscape. Beautifully picked guitars are complemented by the sweeping sound of fiddle and a snappy drum beat, all brought together seamlessly by stirring harmonies as the track builds to a thunderous conclusion.

The album Wake, which was produced and recorded by Frightened Rabbit’s Andy Monaghan, was Dante’s first full length offering, picking up wide ranging support from the likes of Beat Surrender, Artrocker Magazine, God Is In The TV, The Scottish Sun, Rock N Reel and was named in The Herald’s Top 50 Albums of 2013.

The release of Wake coincides with a number of impressive local and festival dates for Dante over the coming month as they are due to embark on a Scottish tour which includes a Radio Rapal Session, as well as appearances at the Hebridean Celtic Festival, Belladrum Festival, Edinburgh Festival and Jocktoberfest.

Fat Goth announce single ‘Sin Altar’!

"Sick Shit." - Rock Sound

"...distortion driven delights." - Kerrang!

After announcing they'll be abusing the T Break stage at this year's T in the Park and their latest album One Hundred Percent Suave dominating the rock press like a kinky politician, Fat Goth have decided to release single Sin Altar. Why? Because they can.

You can stream the single via Fat Goth's BandCamp page.

Sin Altar is a nightmarish gut punch of a track, throwing dark shadows on unfamiliar roads in a part of town where stopping for directions is likely to leave you bundled in a bathtub, packed in ice and minus a kidney. If you've ever accidentally walked into a metal club wearing crocs and a pair of chinos, you'll be familiar with the track's overall tone. It doesn't want to rock you. It wants to use you, give you bus fare and never call you again.

To celebrate the release of the single, Fat Goth will be playing a series of live shows. Check out the full list of dates below:

July 5th - King Tuts - Glasgow
July 10th - Dundee Reading Rooms - Dundee
July 12th - TBreak Stage - T In The Park
August 9th - Hothouse Stage - Belladrum Festival

You can stream and buy One Hundred Percent Suave on Fat Goth's Bandcamp or via the embed below.

'Class A' premiered on Rock Sound and is now available to download from the band's SoundCloud page. The video for the track was premiered exclusively by Kerrang!, and is available to watch on the band's YouTube channel.

You can also download 'Sweet Mister Scary' via Kerrang!'s SoundCloud page as well as Fat Goth's official SoundCloud page.

Sin Altar is released 28th July 2014 via Hefty Dafty with support from Creative Scotland.

Buy their album One Hundred Percent Suave on iTunes or Bandcamp... if you dare.

Digital album promos are available for writers and editors to review. If you'd like more information on Fat Goth or our PR services, please email info@abadgeoffriendship.com.

Katalina Kicks announce single ‘National Hero’!

For fans of: The Hives, The White Stripes, The Stooges, Nirvana

Katalina Kicks are gearing up to release National Hero on 7th July via Snappi. It's the first single taken from their upcoming sophomore album, Dirt, on 7th September 2014.

Watch the video for National Hero via the band's YouTube channel.

You can stream the single via Katalina Kick's SoundCloud page.

National Hero is a stripped down and raw love song plucked from the still beating-heart of a rockabilly romantic. It harks back to an era of stomping drums, angry bass and guitar that chops through you like an axe. With inspiration drawn from the likes of The Cramps, Misfits and The Hives, Katalina Kicks' charm and swagger still marks their sound out firmly as their own.

Formed by Ian George (vocals & guitar) and J Creswell (bass & backing vocals) in 2009 after they began hanging out and writing music together, the aim was to create a stripped back heavy rock sound. Very quickly the duo were offered a publishing deal, so they recruited Harry Stam (guitar) and Jase Wilkinson (drums & backing vocals) and Katalina Kicks were born. Two critically acclaimed singles followed in 2010 before the band released their debut album The Return of Montague Rotter. The album gained a following in the States as it charted on many CMJ College Radio stations which then saw the band showcase at SXSW and the Canadian Music Fest in Toronto. Closer to home, the band started to play some great live shows in London with a headline appearance at Koko, a slot at Club NME and a showcase at Camden Rocks.

You can stream and download 'Kings Of America' for free via Katalina Kicks' SoundCloud page.

Check out the video to their cover of Iggy and The Stooges classic 'Search and Destroy' on the band's YouTube channel.

You can also stream and download the track for free via the band's SoundCloud page.

To support the release Katalina Kicks will be touring the US and Latin America as well as hosting a huge album launch party when they return to the UK in Autumn.

National Hero is released 7th July 2014 via Snappi and their album Dirt is released 7th September 2014.

Algernon Doll releases third album ‘Omphalic’!

For fans of: Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Sebadoh, The Jesus Lizard

"…‘Omphalic’ is emotively conquering…"
- Rock Sound Magazine

"A Child of grunge comes of age." - The Herald

Algernon Doll have released their third album, Omphalic, via Struggletown Records. Download it via BandCamp or pick up the LP at Struggletown Records official site.

To celebrate Omphalic's release, Algernon Doll are giving away album track 'Justine' which you can download via the ABoF SoundCloud.

The album sees Ewan Grant break out from his one man band persona as he continues to hone and perfect an alternative guitar sound that harks back to a sound reminiscent of early 90’s grunge. At just 24 years old, Grant is carving out a place in the hearts and minds of fans and critics alike and has already released two critically acclaimed albums, Camomile and Citalo-pop, that has seen him compared to the likes of Elliott Smith. On Omphalic Algernon Doll really cuts loose and pulls on influences ranging from Nirvana and the Smashing Pumpkins to The Jesus Lizard and Mudhoney to produce an up-tempo, driven rock album that is both rich in its abrasive qualities as well as creating memorable hooks and choruses that are willingly addictive.

The video for Suicide was premiered on The Skinny - with the video and the track itself capturing the sweaty, youth infused spirit of grunge, but with an Algernon Doll edge. You can watch the video on Algernon Doll's YouTube channel.

The track premiered on podcart and can now be downloaded for free from the ABoF SoundCloud page.

Tracks such as first single Spilt Milk Perfume, ‘Justine’ and ‘Candy Striped’, offer a reflective sound with chiming guitars, poignant lyrics and unforgettable hooks that are comparable to the likes of Sebadoh in their pomp. While, ‘Tamed’, ‘Suicide’ and ‘Fellate’ have an angriness and causticity that has Nirvana written all over it.

You can download Spilt Milk Perfume for free via the ABoF SoundCloud and watch the video on Algernon Doll's YouTube channel.

Omphalic was mastered by Bob Weston of the mighty Shellac, who has production credits on a host of classic records such as Nirvana’s In-Utero, Shipping News, Missions of Burma, Chavez, June of 44, Rachel’s and LCD Soundsystem. Algernon Doll features Ewan (guitar & vocals), Wull Swales (bass & backing vocals) and Owen Wicksted (drums) with Ewan and Tom Mitchell also playing drums on the record.

With support already pouring in from the likes of The Herald and Rock Sound Magazine, Algernon Doll has been spreading the word of his new release by playing at Radio 1's Big Weekend as well as a number of shows in the UK, and will be taking the stage at Wickerman Festival. Later this year, Ewan plans to record more tracks, this time with legendary producer Steve Albini.

Check out Algernon Doll's live show at one of the dates below:

2nd July - Harley's Bar - Ayr
3rd July - Opium - Edinburgh
5th July - Shetfest - Lerwick

Omphalic by Algernon Doll is released via Struggletown Records. Download it via BandCamp or pick up the LP at Struggletown Records official site.
