Introducing… LIEZA!
Having been songwriting for years, Nashville-based artist Meghan Roner - aka LIEZA - has finally found her sound and has now released her sparkling new single Eyeliner via LV Music. The track is now available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify.
You can also stream the single via LIEZA's Soundcloud page.
Oozing a lyrical honesty and raw emotion, Eyeliner comes straight from the heart. Of the track, LIEZA explains: “... Eyeliner is that anthem that you sing to yourself in the mirror when you’ve had a bad day and you’ve forgotten what makes you unique, what makes you strong… Put on your ‘eyeliner’, whatever armour that may be for you, and then go out and take on the world...”
Filled with shimmering melodies alongside glitchy beats and the sweeping power of Roner’s rich vocals, Eyeliner is a wonderfully empowering track, with shades of the infectious electro-pop sound of Banks.
LIEZA’s journey to where she is today started out when she became an intern for Grammy Award-winning writer and producer Femke Weidema. Having travelled from Texas to go to school in Nashville, with no friends or family nearby, in order to follow her dream, she now works alongside Weidema to create her beautifully introspective, yet thoroughly danceable, creations.
Eyeliner is out now via LV Music and is available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify.
Gallery 47 releases ‘Adversity Breeds’ album!
“…a soothing piece of melancholia
that dwells on mature, rounded
themes.”
- Clash
“…pastoral beauty and tight songwriting…”
- M Magazine
“…Jeff Buckley-esque vibrato with sheer youthful exuberance…”
- Drowned in Sound
Alt-folk songwriter Gallery 47 aka Jack Peachey's colourfully political album, Adversity Breeds, is out now via Bad Production Records. It is available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify now.
To celebrate the release, the emotive new video for In Odessa premiered on For The Rabbits and is now available to watch on Gallery 47's YouTube channel.
Jack explains “if Clean was the romantic album, Adversity Breeds is the divorce”. Influenced by a holiday row between Peachey and some family members who commented negatively on today’s youth, Jack combines real life events and fiction to create a captivating blend of upbeat, sentimental and bittersweet tracks. Each track on the album offers something poignant and different. Whether its the lighthearted nature of ‘Analytical & Open’ or the dark, brooding songwriting of ‘In Odessa’, Peachey continues to create soft, wistful tales of melancholy that are highly relatable. Jack maintains his signature soft, vibrato throughout whilst effortlessly blending his intricate guitar plucking and storytelling charm echoing Bob Dylan’s raw, colloquial writing style.
Jack previously released the quirky, single shot video for Analytical & Open, which premiered on PRS' M Magazine and is now available to watch on Gallery 47's YouTube channel.
Over the past few months, Jack has also released stunning videos for Mr Baudelaire and Cold Fire as well.
Gallery 47 originally formed ten years ago as a six-piece band in Loughborough. Once the band went their separate ways, Jack decided to continue as a solo artist under the same name, becoming a regular on the live circuit in Nottingham and currently in his new home of South East London. Jack called upon a number of the same musicians who performed on Clean to play on Adversity Breeds, introducing a sense of familiarity to the latter, entwined with layers of texture and emotion throughout.
Amongst Jack’s supporters are BBC Radio 2‘s Bob Harris, BBC 6music’s Tom Robinson, The Guardian, Drowned in Sound, Clash and Folk Radio to name a few. Gallery 47 has also supported a number of well established acts like Paul Weller, Alice Phoebe Loe, Ian McCulloch and Andrew Montgomery as well as playing on the BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park.
With Adversity Breeds, Jack tackles the subject of standing up for a good cause whilst being rejected by those closest to you. A subject that is possibly at its most relatable now more than ever.
Adversity Breeds by Gallery 47 is out now via Bad Production Records. It is available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify now.

Right Said Fred Mash-Up Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’!
Right Said Fred recently spent a weekend in the studio having fun with I’m Too Sexy and Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do, the first track taken from Swift's forthcoming album Reputation.
The track interpolated Right Said Fred’s iconic 90s hit, and Right Said Fred's live studio mash-up features the guys having fun with both tracks.
The video for the live mash-up premiered on Billboard and is available to watch now via the Right Said Fred's YouTube channel.
When Swift dropped Look What You Made Me Do, it re-ignited the love for Right Said Fred’s US chart topping debut. Press around the globe were keen to chat to brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass about the track and the interpolation, including BBC News, Buzzfeed, Rolling Stone, Evening Standard, Washington Post, NME, People, Billboard and The Telegraph.
Swift and her team reached out to brothers, Richard and Fred, to let them know about the interpolation not long before the single dropped but the sound of the track itself remained shrouded in mystery, and the pair first heard it on the morning of Friday 25th August 2017 along with the rest of the world.
“We’re really happy with Taylor’s take,” says frontman Richard. “Her track is broody and slightly dark - we love it."
In celebration of the track, the band released the I'm Too Sexy EP in September, which featured three tracks, a re-recording of the original single along with an electro swing and deep house remix.
Earlier this year, Right Said Fred released their 9th studio album Exactly! and are currently preparing for a string of live dates in 2018.
Right Said Fred’s I’m Too Sexy EP is available to buy now via their official site, Spotify and all good online outlets.
Mt. Doubt release new single ‘Mouthwash’ + tour dates!
"...mixes stark, jangling guitars with
confessional lyricism..."
- Team Rock
"...emotive indie-tinged rock..."
- The List
"...distinctive vocals and accomplished songwriting..."
- The Scotsman
Edinburgh's Mt. Doubt have released their instantly infectious single, Mouthwash, out now via Scottish Fiction Records. It is available to buy and stream, alongside Acrylic's Where I Lie, on Bandcamp, Spotify and iTunes now.
The single premiered on The List as well as Roddy Hart's BBC Radio Scotland show and is also available to stream on Mt. Doubt's Soundcloud page now.
An uptempo sonic delight, Mouthwash is filled with jangling riffs and synth-filled melodies throughout. These are combined effortlessly with front-man Leo Bargery’s distinctively, deep baritone, sounding akin to the likes of The National’s Matt Berlinger. With the addition of some twinkling vocal harmonies and rich poetic lyricism, it’s a hugely infectious slice of indie-rock.
Of the track, Bargery explains: "I think of Mouthwash as a bit of a sister track to 'Reference Books' from our most recent EP. Whereas the former focuses on the lust-rush of forays into new relationships, Mouthwash, explores the opposite end of that experience; the gradual disintegration, the subsequent moping, the self-pity…”
Starting out as Leo Bargery’s solo project, Mt. Doubt has since expanded into a collective of five musicians, each bringing something unique to the table. Since the release of their critically acclaimed albums In Awe Of Nothing and My Past Is A Quiet Beast, and most recently The Loneliness Of The TV Watchers, Mt. Doubt have received praise from the likes of The Scotsman, The National and Team Rock, as well as BBC 6Music and BBC Radio Scotland to name but a few. They are also no strangers to the Scottish live circuit, having performed at T In the Park, Brew At The Bog and supported We Were Promised Jetpacks, Admiral Fallow and White Lies amongst others.
Catch Mt. Doubt live at the following dates:
13th October - Drummonds Aberdeen (with The Deportees & Broken Rivers)
29th October - The Blue Man, Brighton
11th November - Songs from Northern Britain, Stockton-on-Tee
12th November Surf Café, Tyneside
18th November - SEALL, Isle Of Skye
Mouthwash by Mt. Doubt is out now via Scottish Fiction Records. It is available to buy and stream, alongside Acrylic's Where I Lie, on Bandcamp, Spotify and iTunes now.
