Breaking News! A Genuine Freakshow to be played on Amazing Radio this afternoon.
We've got some breaking news to spice up your Tuesday! Word has just reached us that our friends at Amazing Radio are due to give a track from A Genuine Freakshow's latest single, Hopscotch Machine Gun Madness, a spin on their "Audition" show.
The show invites listeners to contact them everytime they hear a track that they like, so if you want to get behind A Genuine Freakshow, be sure to tune in this afternoon between 1 and 2 pm, and don't forget to phone the show on 0191 60 30 795 to tell them how much you love the band. A Genuine Freakshow News Round Up + New Single Out NOW!
A Genuine Freakshow's brand new video for the single ,Hopscotch Machine Gun Madness, has been featured on The 405 and The Digital Fix!
The single is taken from last years album Oftentimes, and is a prime example of why we should all refrain from having children!
The 405 have made the release one of their 'singles of the week' describing it as:
"... a great example of how to use a sound and manipulate it to write a fun, expansive single without getting pompous." - The 405

A Genuine Freakshow release single “Hopscotch Machine Gun Madness” today!
Never ones to sit still for too long, A Genuine Freakshow's new single Hopscotch Machine Gun Madness is the second to be lifted from their album, Oftentimes (which was released last year) and captures the true spirit of the eclectic seven-piece.
The band have already nabbed a Best of Myspace, Record of the Day and Music Week feature on the build-up to the release. And single excitement aside, the band have also been busy speaking to This Is Fake DIY, Subba-Cultcha and Gaydar Nation.

B-side "Our Bodies" also features on the single and presents the listener with a Bright Light Bright Light remix of what was originally an album track. It's a euphoric affair, with Timothy's vocals given the chance to shine over an atmospheric re-imagining of strings and drums. It wouldn't sound out of place in a Balearic nightclub, and serves as more proof of the group’s ability to transcend expectations.
