Ex Libras to release Teenage Eyes

"There are no gimmicks. There are no fancy backdrops, lighting or video screens. They don't need them."
- Classic Rock Prog
Ex Libras finished off 2010 by taking their EP, Cut(s), on a mini tour of the UK. They then retired back to their infamous shed, keen to develop their second album due for release later this year.
Never ones to stay quiet for too long, the lads have decided to punctuate the silence between their last EP and the hotly anticipated album by releasing new single - Teenage Eyes.
Teenage Eyes follows on from the success of their debut album, Suite(s) and its' counterpart EP, Cut(s), which saw the lads re-imagining a selection of tracks from their first release into a hauntingly produced, and genuinely beautiful, musical masterpiece.
The single is taken from the EP, and is representative of their stripped down, acoustic approach to the production process.

To commemorate this release, Ex Libras have teamed up with KIFilms' very own Beau Fowler, who has produced and directed a visually stunning music video that compliments the bands eerily cinematic sound perfectly.
Listening to Teenage Eyes is an amazing experience in itself - Beau's contribution turns it into an experience that borders on the transcendental.
Teenage Eyes will be released via Wirebird Records, and is available to download 28th February 2011.
A promo for the video is below. If you cannot view this, you can visit the link directly. The full video for Teenage Eyes will be available online a few weeks before the release and also available to view on the physical single promos.
Physical copies for review of "Teenage Eyes" are available but very limited. Please email info@abadgeoffriendship.com for more information.

Esperi’s Chris Lee-Marr takes over The 405

Christmas was ages ago now, and we're still listening to Esperi's "Snowman". It makes us feel all warm inside (which is ironic, considering it's about playing in the snow).
The guys at The 405 have let Chris Lee-Mar from Esperi take over their Artist Picks this week, so if you haven't had a chance to listen to his cracking single, Made For Life, get over there now. You can also check out what he has to say about Sci-Fi, Movies and food while you're over there.
Made For Life is released via Olive Grove Records as a double a-Side.

A whole heap of news for Penguins Kill Polar Bears

Where to start with this one? We've got news coming out of our ears for those cheeky Scottish lads, Penguins Kill Polar Bears.
First up, 17 Seconds, Noisetrend and Are You Noisy, Sunshine State? have all done a wee feature on the lads, which includes a free download of their superb track, Lungs and details of their upcoming UK tour. Well worth a listen, and we can't wait to catch them live!
Lastly, but by no means leastly (that probably doesn't look as clever as I think it does), Jim Gellatly has featured the track on his New Music Show over on Radio Magnetic.
An impressive end to the week.
