EyeSeeSound, the company behind the innovative five-track DVD EP, are now selling downloadable versions of the DVD EPs via their website.
Now you will be able to experience independent, dynamic bands in all their live glory for just £2.50. With a 50% saving on the cost of the physical release, it could well be the bargain of the summer!

The Live Session content includes a five track MP3 and live video footage of the band's performance recorded at The Luminaire. Sessions include acts such as the mesmerising Ex Libras, the ethereal Shadow Orchestra, indie-rock stalwarts Spring Offensive and the inimitable The Penny Black Remedy.

Video Exclusive: Phantom “Voodoo Romantic”
Phantom recently released their gorgeously dark and simply stunning debut album Smoke & Mirrors.
The first single to be lifted from the album was Voodoo Romantic, which was released as a free download single at the beginning of August. The single, available to download gratis from the band's official website, has received Track of the Day accolades from the likes of Q and Classic Rock.
The video for Voodoo Romantic reflects the mood of the album and is heavily influenced by surrealism, Man Ray and Duchamp. Enough talk! We'll let the video speak for itself.

Smoke & Mirrors creates a new percussive landscape for Phantom's music. They used recordings of places, objects and sounds found organically around them, both familiar and alien: an antique typewriter thump, the flap of a letter dropping through a letter box, heels clicking on concrete, the Mars Space Rover rumbling across the surface of the red planet. Each sound has been carefully treated and morphed into a rhythm to support compositions.
Phantom's strength is being able to create an atmosphere; therefore it's apt that the album - provided in two 22-minute parts with no track marks - is seamless when played in sequence. The songs build and bleed into one another just as they do during Phantom's captivating live set. A remix of "We Float" by Death In Plains is also featured on the album. Death In Plains is a visual/musical adventure, the brainchild of Enrico Boccioletti, who creates a sound that joins Fuck Buttons to Jesus and Mary Chain via MGMT.
Smoke & Mirrors mysteriously transports you into Phantom's world of alluring, sensual sounds, captivating your imagination and enticing you into their silky neo-noir musical landscapes.
The album is available to buy from the band's official website (89p for side A and 90p for Side B), iTunes(£1.79 for both parts) and 7Digital (£1.58 for both parts).

Union Sound Set have had their sexy new video for up and coming single Hiding Places featured on the website Extreme Listening Mode.

The single release will mark the beginning of a very busy few months leading up to the release of forthcoming album, Start/Stop which is out on the 24th October. To celebrate the release of the single, the band will playing Camden Barfly on 27th September, the same day the single hits the shelves, with support coming in the form of the excellent Ex Libras and Burning Codes. As a treat, Union Sound Set will be giving away a free MP3 off their forthcoming album Start/Stop with every online ticket purchase.

Brilliant Interview with The Ray Summers on Is This Music!
Scots band The Ray Summers have featured in an excellent interview with Is This Music.
In the hilarious interview, which the boys are convinced was conducted by Drew Barrymore (!), the band talk about everything from "turtle stroking" and "grade one Columbian coal" to the "East Coast Mafia". The interview took place just before Ray supported Doves at the HMV Picture House during the Edinburgh Festival.
