We Came From Wolves self-titled debut album out now!

For fans of: Biffy Clyro, Kids In Glass Houses, Twin Atlantic

“Feels, hooks and more feels”- Rock Sound

We Came From Wolves have released their self-titled debut album via Saraseto Records. It's available to buy digitally via iTunes and on limited edition CD via Bandcamp.

If you'd like to hear the album for yourself in full, Team Rock are hosting an exclusive stream on their website.

The video for album track 'Glasgow Stranger' premiered on Kerrang!'s website, and you can watch it now via the band's YouTube channel.

Previous single, Am I Useful premiered on Team Rock, and you can download and stream it for free via A Badge of Friendship's SoundCloud page. You can also watch the video that premiered on Rock Sound via the band's YouTube channel.

This is a coming of age album, one that explores the trials and tribulations of the slide into your late twenties as the band leave frivolity and turmoil behind, entering a more centred place. Particularly affected by his surroundings, Kyle also yearns for a better place, a place of passion and meaning within the daily grind as heard on single Am I Useful?. 2014’s Scottish referendum also had a massive effect on him as a young Scot working for a better future, and this frustration and anger can be heard throughout the album.

However, We Came From Wolves do well to steer away from the ‘angsty’ side of rock erring on the side of honesty, the music reflecting the album’s sometimes darker subject matter. We Came From Wolves have pushed themselves with this debut and produced an album that encapsulates youth, soul searching and hope.

To support the release of their debut album, We Came From Wolves will be touring the UK throughout June. Catch them live at the following dates:

3rd June - West of the Moon - Ayr
4th June - Madhatters - Inverness
5th June - Love Music In-store session - Glasgow
5th June - ABC2 (Album launch) - Glasgow
6th June - South Sea - Sheffield
7th June - Sticky Mike’s - Brighton
10th June - Dublin Castle - London
12th June - Alma Inn - Bolton
13th June - The Shed - Leicester
18th June - Corinna - Perth
19th June - Beat Generator - Dundee
20th June - The Green Rooms - Perth
21st June - Fanny by Gaslight - Kilmarnock

We Came From Wolves' self titled debut album is out now via Saraseto Records and available to buy digitally via iTunes and on limited edition CD via Bandcamp..

CARALIS releases free single ‘Be Automatic’!

"Effortlessly pieced together"
- Clash

For fans of: Caribou, LCD Soundsystem, Thom Yorke

CARALIS has officially released his free single Be Automatic via Captoerra Records.

The follow up to their striking debut, Clicks In, which received support from the likes of XFM’s John Kennedy and Clash Magazine, Be Automatic is an atmospheric tour de force, with intense beats and synthesisers providing the perfect vehicle for Dan Frau’s evocative vocals. There’s an emotional quality to the track that is reminiscent of New Order at their very best, whilst maintaining the cutting edge sound of the modern.

You can stream and download the single for free via the CARALIS SoundCloud page.

You can also download the 'Be Automatic (Gaius)' remix for free via the CARALIS SoundCloud page.

The video for Be Automatic premiered on GigSlutz and you can watch it now on YouTube.

You can stream and download previous single Cicks In for free on the CARALIS SoundCloud page and watch the video that premiered on Clash Magazine's website on YouTube.

CARALIS is the brainchild of former Anison front man Dan Frau, who began writing and creating music for his solo project after the band split in late 2014. Collaborating with producer and friend John Merriman, the pair have produced an industrial and, at times, psychedelic sound akin to acts like Caribou and Thom Yorke.

Creatively, CARALIS is a sonic departure for singer Dan having fronted alt-rock band Anison for a number of years. The band, who were signed to Spectra Records, were known for their alternative guitar sound and garnered support from the likes of XFM and BBC 6 Music. However, Dan has shown his creative dexterity, transitioning between alt rock and electro genres effortlessly.

Be Automatic is released via Captoerra Records.

Introducing… Ded Rabbit!

“... classic Indie sound”
- Vic Galloway, BBC Radio Scotland

“An exciting live band that will appeal widely and who are definitely festival-ready”
- David Balfour, Record Of The Day

For fans of: Jamie T, Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Wombats

Ded Rabbit announce their third EP of 2015, Moving In Slow Motion, released 15th July via Ded Rabbit Records.

EP track 'Scarlet Cardigan' premiered on Gigslutz who described it as "an upbeat offering with shades of Billy Bragg." You can stream and download the track for free via the band's SoundCloud page.

Opening their EP with the aforementioned ‘Scarlet Cardigan’, the band have held nothing back in creating a fast paced and undeniably British sound, but with subtle shades of New York’s underground garage rock scene due to their sheer, unbridled energy. Things take a breather for ‘Step Of Your Shoes’, but don’t be fooled - you’re only a verse away from another burst of intensity, showcasing the band’s ability to toy with the listener’s expectations. EP closer and title track ‘Moving In Slow Motion’ serves as a masterclass in indie pop, with catchy hooks and lyrical tone that could sit well beside the likes of Jamie T and Catfish & The Bottlemen.

Ded Rabbit are brothers Eugene (vocals, rhythm guitar), Fergus (lead guitar), Donal (bass) and Eoin Gaine (drums). Originally from Yorkshire, they relocated to the Highlands in 1996 and, through isolation and a developing love of music, they began playing together ten years ago. After moving to Edinburgh they started taking their music more seriously. They finally found their feet in the studio while working on their last three EPs in Glasgow with Rocket Science Studios, who have recorded the likes of Texas, Belle And Sebastian, and Dougie MacLean to name but a few.

To support the release of their EP, Ded Rabbit will be playing the T Break Stage at this year's T In The Park as well as heading out on a tour of the UK. You can catch them live at the following dates:

11th June - Xpo North 2015 - Inverness
13th June - Electric Circus - Edinburgh
25 June - 229 - London
03 July - Broadcast - Glasgow
10th -12th July - T In The Park - Perthshire
22 July - Zanzibar - Liverpool
24 July - Verve Bar - Leeds
01 August - Sneaky Pete's - Edinburgh
08 August The Jazz Bar - Edinburgh

Moving In Slow Motion is released via Ded Rabbit Records on 15th July 2015.

Introducing… Brendan Dalton!

For fans of: Owen, City and Colour, Noah Gunderson

Brendan Dalton is due to release his official single, Medium on 22nd June 2015 Meraki Records.

To celebrate the release of his forthcoming single, Brendan is sharing free download track 'Beachcomber's Holler' which you can stream and download via the ABoF SoundCloud page.

Brendan began writing in early 2014. His aim was to write music that was personal, honest and heartfelt and, thus, he struggled to write songs that would fit into the confines of a band. The various nuances that come with being part of a collective would not suffice while attempting to emote his innermost thoughts.

Forthcoming single Medium illustrates Brendan’s undoubted flair for songwriting as he tackles the subject of friendship lost and the difficulty of re-establishing the connections we once had. The title of the track is a play on this disconnect, relating it to death and the need for a medium to communicate with those who we were once connected to.

Hailing from Perth in Scotland, Brendan has shown an early talent for writing emotionally charged music, showcasing an ability to play a number of instruments in the process as well as being able to effortlessly transition between skilful guitar pieces and rich, emotive vocals.

Released through the Scottish label Meraki Records, this will be Brendan’s debut single and is accompanied by the free download track ‘Beachcomber’s Holler’. Both tracks emphasise Brendan’s influences as he channels the like of Bon Iver, Owen, City and Colour and elements of Death Cab For Cutie, blended with his own earthy, humble Scottish input, creating an exquisite debut release.

Medium will be available to buy on 22nd June 2015, and you can pre-order it now via Meraki Records.
