Chapterhouse and Jay Baruchel Confirmed for C4 Winnipeg!

Canada’s premiere publisher of genre entertainment, Chapterhouse Publishing, comes to Winnipeg this October for Central Canada Comic Con 2017 (C4) with a slate of can’t-miss panels and some of the biggest talents in Canadian comics, including writer and Chapterhouse Chief Creative Officer Jay Baruchel!

Taking place October 27-29 at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, the show marks a homecoming for Chapterhouse’s own Captain Canuck, as Canada’s most celebrated hero hails from the Manitoba town of Flin Flon! It also marks a return for Baruchel and several of the Chapterhouse team!

“Winnipeg has been very kind to me, and some of the best stuff I've ever been a part of happened in this town,” says Baruchel. “Very excited to be coming back, and getting to fly the Chapterhouse flag over the heart of Canada!”

“The last time I was at C4, it was with Captain Canuck, his-creator Richard Comely, T-shirts, and a web series,” says Chapterhouse founder and CEO Fadi Hakim. “This time, its with Chapterhouse, boatloads of comics, and some of the greatest talent in North America. I can't wait!

Central Canada Comic Con is one of Canada’s largest and longest-running comic conventions, and Chapterhouse is Canada’s most exciting new publisher of superhero and genre comics. Chapterhouse has built a shared universe of heroes around Captain Canuck, dubbed ‘the Chapterverse’, and publishes the best in original creator-owned comics, including Die Kitty Die and Life, Death & Sorcery.

Chapterhouse is thrilled to be bringing Captain Canuck: Year One writer Jay Baruchel to C4 for his first Central Canada convention appearance! Baruchel will be signing exclusively at the Chapterhouse booth.

Other talents attending under the Chapterhouse banner include Captain Canuck creator Richard Comely, Captain Canuck artists Leonard Kirk, Emmanuelle Chateauneuf, and Jason Loo, Die Kitty Die writer Dan Parent, Life, Death & Sorcery creator Danny Zabbal, and Chapterverse writers Ray Fawkes (Fantomah), Van Jensen (Fallen Suns), and Andrew Wheeler (Freelance).

Chapterhouse panels at the show include “Creating Comics With Chapterhouse” (4:00PM Friday October 27, Presentation Theatre), in which Andrew Wheeler, Dan Parent, Danny Zabbal, and Emmanuelle Chateauneuf talk about their experiences creating comics; “Building A Universe: The Chapterverse 2018 and Beyond” (2:30PM Saturday October 28, Presentation Theatre), in which Jay Baruchel, Emmanuelle Chateauneuf, Van Jensen, Ray Fawkes, Jason Loo, and Andrew Wheeler discuss the future of the Chapterhouse heroes; and the Chapterverse Sketch Battle

(5:00PM Saturday October 28, Room 2H), which sees Captain Canuck creator Richard Comely go head-to-head with Canuck artists Leonard Kirk, Emmanuelle Chateauneuf, and Jason Loo!
