Watch Alphas’ video for ‘Waves’!

Alphas have unveiled the video for their second single, Waves, out 6th July 2015 via AlphaBravoCharlie Records.
The video for Waves premiered on GigSlutz and you can watch it now via the band's YouTube channel.
You can also stream the single via the band's SoundCloud page.
Waves is the follow up to the Aberdeen trio’s debut single, Here Comes The Burn, and captures the band’s kinetic onstage presence with a pure punchy indie pop sound that could easily appeal to fans of The Futureheads as well as newcomers The Bulletproof Bomb. The track was written around the idea that people and their dreams change over time, but that everybody needs to keep on searching, within and without, to truly know themselves.
The band’s members not only share their taste in music, citing the likes of Doves and Blur as influences, they also share first names, with Andrew Burden taking on vocal and guitar duties, Andy Kite providing bass guitar and synthesisers, and Andy Clark holding them all together on drums. They plan to spend the summer touring Scotland, including shows at Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh on 26th May and XpoNorth Festival on 10th June, while they set the scene for the release of their debut album New Fire in September.
Waves is released 6th July 2015 via AlphaBravoCharlie Records.
Introducing… The Hate Eighties!

The Hate Eighties are an experiment in story telling. They are a large scale work of art looking at the connection between creativity and commerce, the relationship we have with material objects, and the different struggles we face in a heavily profit driven world. Rather than just showing up the injustices that we all face in the current neoliberal capitalist system they hope to lead you down the road to a better future.
To get a taste of their intense sound, you can stream album track 'The Beat Of Your Heart' via the ABoF SoundCloud page.
Their debut album POW takes place in an alternative past or a possible future and tells the story of how one company rebrands the ideals of an alt-capitalist group and sells it to the world. They are transmedia. They are post modern. They are Sebastian & Lucius, two Glaswegian artists influenced by the music of Chvrches, Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails, the humour of Chris Morris, and the onstage charisma of Timmy Cappello, the topless Saxophonist from The Lost Boys.
The combination is distilled agitprop electronica, wrapped up in songs disguised as hip hop, alternative rock and EDM.
They create physical artwork for each one of their songs and have been known to share them with the worthy. You may have already seen their advertisements plastered up around your town, or heard them on the radio in between the frequencies of popular stations. They exist in your peripheral vision, and they’ve decided it’s time for them to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight.
Lucius provides vocals, keyboards, programming, guitars, bass and saxophone. Sebastian provides vocals, keyboards, programming, guitars and bass. You provide the audience.
POW is released 5th October 2015 via Walton Xi Huang Media.

The Cadbury Sisters have released their second EP Sarah via Fear of Fiction Records. It's available to buy digitally on iTunes and Bandcamp.
The Line Of Best Fit hosted an exclusive stream of the EP and the video for 'Get This Feeling' premiered on Clash Magazine's website. You can watch it now via the trio's YouTube channel.
The Line Of Best Fit also premiered the video for 'Drifting' which you can watch now on YouTube.
Coming exactly one year after their debut EP Close, which gained support from the likes of Dave Rowntree (XFM, Blur), NME and Q Magazine, Sarah is an exciting departure from the trio’s folk soaked vocal harmonies that defined their previous output. This is evident in the EP’s gorgeous title track, as well as singles Get This Feeling and Drifting. There are a host of sonic influences, ranging from Fleetwood Mac and Kate Bush to Bat For Lashes and First Aid Kit, boldly displayed alongside lyrics that disclose the siblings’ closely shared personal experiences and melodies that echo their pop-songwriting sensibilities.
The EP is named after the trio's mother, an incredibly strong and important person in their lives. Both the title track and the EP are an exploration of the inner strength and confidence needed to overcome certain situations, such as leaving a toxic relationship or dealing with newfound feelings that you didn’t expect to have for someone.
In the year since their debut EP was released, The Cadbury Sisters have embarked on a UK tour, recorded a single for RAK Records ‘Singles Club’ and played onstage at Hyde Park for Radio 2 Live.
The three sisters are currently wrapping up a headline tour of the UK and will be launching the EP at The Lantern in their hometown of Bristol. Following that the band has a busy summer of festivals ahead, including their debut performance at Glastonbury.
You can catch The Cadbury Sisters live at the following dates:
18th June - The Doghouse - Halifax
19th June - Sacred Trinity Church - Manchester
Sarah is released via Fear Of Fiction Records and is available to buy digitally on iTunes and Bandcamp.
Watch Brendan Dalton’s video for ‘Medium’!

Brendan Dalton has released the video for his official single, Medium, out 22nd June 2015 Meraki Records.
The video premiered on GigSlutz, who described the single as "sure to tug at the heartstrings in all the right ways." You can watch the video via the Meraki Records YouTube channel.
Brendan is also sharing free download track 'Beachcomber's Holler' which you can stream and download via the ABoF SoundCloud page.
Brendan began writing in early 2014. His aim was to write music that was personal, honest and heartfelt and, thus, he struggled to write songs that would fit into the confines of a band. The various nuances that come with being part of a collective would not suffice while attempting to emote his innermost thoughts.
Medium illustrates Brendan’s undoubted flair for songwriting as he tackles the subject of friendship lost and the difficulty of re-establishing the connections we once had. The title of the track is a play on this disconnect, relating it to death and the need for a medium to communicate with those who we were once connected to.
Released through the Scottish label Meraki Records, this will be Brendan’s debut single and is accompanied by the free download track ‘Beachcomber’s Holler’. Both tracks emphasise Brendan’s influences as he channels the like of Bon Iver, Owen, City and Colour and elements of Death Cab For Cutie, blended with his own earthy, humble Scottish input, creating an exquisite debut release.
Medium will be available to buy on 22nd June 2015, and you can pre-order it now via Meraki Records.

You can stream and download 'Take You Under' for free via the ABoF SoundCloud page and watch the video that accompanies the song on YouTube.
Pulling on influences such as Dinosaur Jr. and Pavement, Goodbye: Tiny Fractures begins modestly with a toe-tapping indie vibe but don’t be fooled, these guys can rock. As they reach the chorus, distorted guitar chords come into play along with lead singer Danny Gallagher’s Dave Grohl-esque husky vocals turning this track into an alt-rock ball of energy. The track is filled with slick guitar riffs and strong chord progressions you won’t forget in a hurry.
The Dirty Blonde have spent the last few years playing around Glasgow and the UK, including sold out shows at Nice’N’Sleazy and The 13th Note. The boys used the proceeds to set up their own rehearsal and recording studio and are now ready to unleash their indie rock sound onto the scene.
