We Came From Wolves announce debut album!

For fans of: Biffy Clyro, Kids In Glass Houses, Twin Atlantic

“…unmistakable Scottish vocal punctuating crisp rhythms and the familiar ethereal guitars.” - Rock Sound

We Came From Wolves return with their self-titled debut album set for release on 25th May via Sarasota Records.

You can stream single Am I Useful?, due for release on March 30th, via the ABoF SoundCloud page.

Continuing on from where they left with their 2014 EP Paradise Place, these boys are leading the way when it comes to the new wave of Scots rockers up north. Paradise Place was packed with heartfelt rock anthems and their ear for an anthemic chorus remains, but frontman Kyle James Burgess has poured his heart and soul into the content of each song on this self titled album, with the music taking a darker route.

This is a coming of age album, one that explores the trials and tribulations of the slide into your late twenties as the band leave frivolity and turmoil behind, entering a more centred place. Particularly affected by his surroundings, Kyle also yearns for a better place, a place of passion and meaning within the daily grind as heard on single Am I Useful?. 2014’s Scottish referendum also had a massive effect on him as a young Scot working for a better future, and this frustration and anger can be heard throughout the album.

However, We Came From Wolves do well to steer away from the ‘angsty’ side of rock erring on the side of honesty, the music reflecting the album’s sometimes darker subject matter. We Came From Wolves have pushed themselves with this debut and produced an album that encapsulates youth, soul searching and hope.

Amongst the band’s early supporters were Rock Sound, The Herald, The Skinny and Amazing Radio - a testament to their broad appeal.

Their catchy melodies and huge hooks are written with a sensitivity and passion that is We Came From Wolves’ signature sound - it’s not hard to imagine these boys playing in front of massive crowds in years to come - fans chanting along, hooked on every word.

We Are The City release ‘King David’ video!

For fans of: Mew, The Flaming Lips, Maps & Atlases

Canadian three piece We Are The City unveil their video for King David, a single taken from their debut album Violent.

Packed full of powerful religious symbolism, the video premiered on The Line Of Best Fit and you can watch it now on YouTube.

You can also check out their video for album track 'Friends Hurt' on the band's YouTube channel.

The band’s influences range from Mew to Bowie and, while this can be heard in their quirky, off-kilter time signatures and whimsical melodies, their sound is very much their own. ‘Bottom of the Lake’ is Band of Horses meets Menomena but in a dream. Single King David and track ‘I Am, Are You?’ combines the kookiness of The Flaming Lips and the off beat melodies of Mew whilst ‘Friends Hurt’ explores the idea of ‘loud and quiet’ with an intricate build up which leads to a wonderful synth led cacophony of noise.

On their forthcoming album Violent, the band explore wild and exciting soundscapes. Their innovative sound scales sonic peaks, and descends into canyons before rising back up. The further you venture into their world, the more the view of their city unfolds revealing a beacon in the far distance. A signal, if you will, from far way. This is We Are The City.

Violent is released via Sinnbus on 27th April 2015.

Introducing… The Curious Incident!

For fans of: Vampire Weekend, Crystal Fighters, Passion Pit

The Curious Incident released their EP Penny Lonesome this year and return with single Please Don't Say due for release on March 30th 2015.

The theme of their four track EP is money. The band explore the themes behind money and the highs of lows of having the green stuff.

The band's energetic video for 'Money' taken from their Penny Lonesome EP is available to watch now on YouTube.

You can also download free track 'Might As Well Swim' from the band's Soundcloud page.

The Curious Incident are a four piece that have truly come from all over the globe, making music that is fun, light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek. Cavey Roberts and Diego Diaz, met at school in The Netherlands before Cavey moved back to South Africa. Years later, with Diaz attracted to the sun and sea (and World Cup) in South Africa, the two paired up to start a life as penniless musicians. Dan Bowery and Mirko Piconese were eventually added to the mix and The Curious Incident was born.

Their sound wavers from cheeky indie to pop infused indie rock with a Caribbean twist but the one consistent theme is that this four piece aim to turn your frown upside down!

EP Penny Lonesome is available to buy on iTunes and the band's official merchandise store. The official launch show for the EP is this Thursday 19th February at The Borderline, London. Tickets are available HERE.

The Curious Incident will release single Please Don't Say on March 30th 2015.

Noir | Noir single ‘Claustrophobic Love’ out now!

For fans of: Queens Of The Stone Age, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Kills

"… a chugging QOTSA-esque belter…" - Gigwise

"… meaty, downbeat guitars snarl throughout and head bopping
percussion ominously prowls…"
- Artrocker

Noir | Noir are delighted to announce the release of their debut single, Claustrophobic Love, available to buy on iTunes and released via Nef Music.

Manchester’s powerful new alt-rock quartet make it clear with their debut single that their passion is very much worn on their collective sleeve. It is a relentless, pounding ode to bass-bin ruining riffs and stomping forward motion rhythms if ever you’re likely to hear one. The accompanying video, inspired by Silence Of The Lambs, further cements the fact that Noir | Noir live up to their dark, dark name.

You can watch it now on the band's YouTube channel.

You can also stream the single on the ABoF SoundCloud page.

It’s easy to see why the band have picked up a wealth of support in such short space of time, as they produce electrifying and truly exciting music that begs to be heard by anyone with an ear for darkroom realness served on a tough bed of grit, grime and sleaze. This has meant the troupe have been very much in demand, with constant tour dates, a fast-growing fan base, and support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Gigwise, Artrocker and Gigslutz all pointing to an extremely promising 2015.

The band are comprised of Finn Sedas (guitars, keyboard and vocals), Nora King (bass and vocals), Eoin Ryan (drums) and Manuel Alcaino (guitar and vocals) and they haven’t just found their own sound - they’ve discovered their own noise. Yet this isn’t simply a case of turning speakers up to eleven and leaving it at that: there’s detail evident in their music that betrays a genuine maturity. With formal musical training married to a shared life-long love for the meatier and more experimental side of rock, and a respect for the importance of melody, it’s unsurprising to find hues of the tougher end to both Pixies and The Flaming Lips, along with early Black Rebel Motorcycle Club within the aural collage Noir | Noir paint.

Claustrophobic Love is available to buy on iTunes now.
