Shambles In A Husk release ‘Cowboy Doom’ video!

Shambles In A Husk have unveiled the video to their latest single, Cowboy Doom. You can check it out on their YouTube channel.

Cowboy Doom opens with a face melting demonstration of expert guitar work, coupled with vocals ripped from the depths of a tortured soul. This is a band who’ve got something to say, and they’re saying it loud. The single moves seamlessly between a hectic, foot stomping anthem brimming with expertly crafted riffs akin to Adebisi Shank and an explosion of glorious noise, imagine Refused meets The Dillinger Escape Plan. It’s an outstanding mission statement for a band that are fresh on the scene, with themes reminiscent of Tetsuo: The Iron Man, casting a stern lyrical eye on mankind’s dependence on technology.

The single has already received support from BBC Radio 1's Introducing, you can listen to it now on the band's official SoundCloud page.

With three more singles in the pipeline, and their debut EP slated to wrap up 2014 along with a European Tour, Cowboy Doom is only the first step for a band that’s sure to cause a ruckus on the UK’s rock and metal scene.

Cowboy Doom is released via Red Medicine Records. Buy it on Bandcamp.

IndianRedLopez release second album ‘Commit’

“... a force to be reckoned with.” - Q Magazine

"At its skin-prickling, synth-soaked best, Commit calls to mind the frosted, shiversome melodicism of Mew…” - The Sunday Herald

IndianRedLopez are very pleased to announce the release of their second full length album, Commit, available today via Cease:Stop Records.

To celebrate the release the band are giving away a free album track, 'Taking A Fall For Me', which you can download for free from IndianRedLopez' official SoundCloud page.

The album undulates through various genres as Giorgio Moroder and Talk Talk style 80s synth-pop meets shoegaze stalwarts such as Mew and Spiritualized. The band's ability to play with, and blend genres so seamlessly, is no more apparent on tracks like ‘No Longer Dying’ - lead singer Mike’s echoing vocals are flanked by samples, unabated keys and synths and a driven, piercing drumbeat. They've already been featured as The Vinyl District's 'Artist Of The Week', as well as picking up support from the likes of The Skinny, Artrocker and The Sunday Herald. The album will also be streaming in full today as part of an Earmilk exclusive.

IndianRedLopez aim to stage a variety of pop-up style events, collaborative art events and listening parties to promote their latest album, as well as embarking on a tour of the UK and Europe with dates in Holland and Belgium lined up. Check out the dates below:

Monday 17 March - Release Day - Brighton - The Prince Albert

Wednesday 19 March - Comines - France - Carpe Diem

Thursday 20 March -Den Haag - 330 Live

Chris Pureka - “How I Learned To See In The Dark” out now!

“For a woman who frequently performs solo and whose compositions are more quiet than clanging, Chris Pureka is making a lot of noise.” - Billboard Magazine

Chris Pureka is proud to announce the release of her third studio album How I Learned To See In the Dark. It's available now via Haldern Pop, offering some bold new elements to the solid foundation she has been building throughout her ever-escalating twelve-year career.

You can listen to her single Wrecking Ball on our SoundCloud page.

Check out the video for the single on YouTube

)

Throughout her career, Pureka has prized autonomy over ease. She has released her all of her albums independently and plays upwards of 200 dates a year, enabling her to maintain a great deal of control over her process. That independent streak is also felt throughout How I Learned To See In The Dark.
Pureka’s co-producer and longtime friend, Merrill Garbus (4Ad’s tUnE-YaRds) lent her signature quirky recording techniques and knack for alternative instrumentation to the album, helping Pureka expand her sound into as-yet uncharted territory. While maintaining her unique alchemy of longing, loss and hope, there is a sonic adventurism on How I Learned To See In The Dark that marks a new stage in Pureka’s musical evolution. With a newfound edginess, coupled with a more abstract sound, there is a musical depth and complexity that shines through each track, all the while maintaining the space and creative instrumentation Pureka is known for.

Wwith the European release of How I Learned to See in the Dark (in partnership with Haldern Pop) Pureka embarks on a new beginning which will see her expand her reach even further into the European market, bringing her heartfelt songs to her biggest audience to date. Pureka may have been making waves for over a decade, but 2014 marks the beginning of a new chapter in what is already a storied career.
