Union Sound Set Album Scores 9/10 in Contact Music!

Union Sound Set are due to release their album Start/Stop on October 24th and have received a glowing review from Contact Music scoring 9/10!

Mimas Album Scores 11/13 in Room Thirteen!

Mimas have been given yet another outstanding review for their up and coming album, this time scoring 11/13 on the website Room Thirteen.

Amazing Radio join forces with Oxjam Kilburn!

Amazing Radio and Amazingtunes.com are proud to announce their involvement with this year’s Oxjam Kilburn Takeover in London!
On Saturday 23rd October, Power’s on Kilburn High Road will be hosting the Amazing Radio team alongside a fantastic line-up of live music.
There’ll be live sets from Chapter 24, Phantom, Toys With Knives, Red Drapes and Oxford’s undisputed best new band, Spring Offensive.
The Amazing Radio presenters will also be out in force, with Georgie Rogers, Rich Brant and Charlie Ashcroft hopping between venues, chatting to punters, interviewing bands and soaking up all the excitement in North West London on the day.
As well as at Power’s, The Oxjam Kilburn Takeover will have gigs on at The Luminaire, The Good Ship, The King’s Head and The North London Tavern, with well over 40 artists performing on the day. Other live highlights at the festival include Rox, Dansette Junior and The Future Shape Of Sound.
The event is just one of 28 citywide ‘takeover’ events taking place across the UK on the weekend of 23/24 October and tickets can be purchased for this event for just £10 from www.wegottickets.com/event/91827. For information about your nearest festival, head to www.oxfam.org.uk/oxjam.

Union Sound Set Tour Diary Part 1

Union Sound Set have just set off on a tour of the UK to promote their debut album Start/Stop, due for release on 24th October. To immortalise this joyous occasion they've decided to document their on-the-road hijinx with a no holds barred, behind the scenes tour diary.
The tour lasts until the end of October and you can catch them live, from tonight onwards at the following venues up and down the UK:
- 21st - Talking Heads, w/The Last Republic + Soma High - Southampton
- 22nd - Cellars at Eastney, Portsmouth
- 23rd - The Cockpit, Leeds
- 24th - The Captain's Rest, w/Mimas - Glasgow
- 25th -The Harley, w/Mimas - Sheffield
- 26th - The Luminaire, w/Mimas + Ex Libras - London
- 28th - BBC Suffolk Introducing Presents Union Sound Set, The Railway- Aldeburgh
- 29th - Le Pub, w/The Last Republic - Newport
Personally, we can't wait to catch their London show next week at the Luminaire with Mimas and Ex Libras on the 26th October. It's going to be amazing!
Also this week, exclusively on Rock Sound, you can check out the video for Union Sound Set's next single, Cause and Resolve, (due for release at the end of November). You can also listen to the whole album, from start to finish over at The 405's exclusive stream. They'll even let you download two of the tracks, which is nice of them.
