Ex Libras ‘Cut(s)’ Editor’s Choice in Subba Cultcha!

Today Ex Libras release their outstanding EP Cut(s), and have already started to stir the music industry pot with a great review in Subba Cultcha! In fact, as a bonus it's been selected as editor's choice...

"Another stunning single from a band i’d confidently say are more progressive and cerebral than Radiohead (pre-dance phase). High floating melodies, cracked beats and stunning soundscapes to lose yourself within! Also check out their audio/visual EP, it’ll leave you gasping for air!" - Subba Cultcha

You can read the review HERE.

Cut(s) approaches the songs from Ex Libras' critically acclaimed debut album Suite(s), from a different angle. The band have taken the bare parts from five of the songs on their aforementioned debut album (in order: “Underachiever”, “Sum Numbers”, “Discharge”,“Phat Knickers” and “Radar”) and reshaped, remoulded, remixed and reinvented them into their own version of what an acoustic EP should be the only way Ex Libras could - thus creating a new genre for the EP - loopcoustica.

Cut(s) is available to buy today on iTunes for just £3.95!

Ex Libras - ‘Will my face be in the video?’

Ex Libras. When they’re not busy touring, recording albums and EPs (or building the recording studio in their garden themselves) they’re making comedy vignettes behind the scenes of their forthcoming "Teenage Eyes" video. They’re nothing if not prolific.

The video follows hapless drummer Ross as he tries to glean some kind of hint from band-mates, actors and the film crew as to whether he’ll be getting some face time in the finished cut of the "Teenage Eyes" video. Met mostly with confused looks and evasive answers, Ross tries his best (bless him) to reassure himself and/or remind people that he is actually in the band. Will his face be visible? Is he even in shot?!

Watch the video here and help Ross' cause

Ex Libras release Cut(s), their stripped down reworking of key tracks from incredible debut album Suite(s), on the 6th October. The band will also play a string of no doubt “jaw dropping...completely euphoric” (Glasgow Podcart) London live dates soon after.

Check out and download ‘Teenage Eyes’ below, or click here
