Architects Of Grace share video for ‘Outsiders’!

Architects Of Grace return with EP Outsiders, due for release on December 9th 2016 via Out Of Nowhere. Headed by Duncan Robert, Architects Of Grace’s return is an invigorated call to arms after the 2011 release of debut album Moments In Time.
The video for the title-track Outsiders premiered on Northern Transmissions and is now available to stream via the Architects Of Grace YouTube channel.
Although Robert prefers listeners to garner meaning from the songs themselves, the basis of Architects Of Grace’s music lies in the minutiae of human emotion - feelings of being an outsider, going against the tide, what it means to trust and spend time with someone you love.
The video for track 'Stay To Say' is also available to stream via the Architects Of Grace YouTube channel.
Taking time out has evolved Robert as a songwriter and each track has more depth, but the layers of Architects Of Grace’s signature dark gothgaze sound remain, which especially felt on track ‘Stay To Stay’. There’s also a filmic quality to the EP and an underlying melancholy that is a step beyond where Duncan left us in 2011. “I was planning a record straight after the first album, but apart from a couple of good songs the material wasn't all there,” explains Robert. “I'm the writer so I had to let it arrive over time. I feel I'm a better songwriter now.”
Previous Architects Of Grace supporters include Classic Rock Magazine, Artrocker, DIY and Rock Sound all noting Duncan’s love for atmospheric, cinematic layered tones while also capturing a memorable energetic chorus. The new EP feels like a new lease of life for Architects of Grace as Duncan Robert treads new ground with his own brand of modern gothgaze, preparing to unleash more music in 2017.
Outsiders is out December 9th 2016 via Out Of Nowhere.
Rainbrother announce new single ‘Break Out’!

“...endearing, touching and memorable...”
- Drowned in Sound
Danish five-piece Rainbrother have revealed the first single to be taken from their upcoming album Tales From The Drought will be the vibrant Break Out, out on 9th December 2016 via General Bird.
The video for the single premiered on Folk Radio and is also available to watch on their YouTube channel now.
Alternatively, you can stream the audio to the single via the Rainbrother Soundcloud page.
After the success of psychedelic folk outfit The Migrant, frontman Bjarke Bendtsen is ready to transcend furthermore into electronic folk-rock territory with the release of his latest project Rainbrother’s debut album.
Tales From The Drought is all about making your way whilst on the road, dwelling on memories both beautiful and troublesome and coming to terms with the decisions that have been made. Album opener ‘Riverside’ is a stunning piece of songwriting that carries you away into the abyss and as the album continues, so do your thoughts. Each one a little more comforting than the next. Tales From The Drought invites the listener into a speckled dream, filled with steady beats, wistful Pink Floyd inspired guitar slides and a storytelling charm akin to the likes of Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver.
Rainbrother was formed after Bjarke eventually found his way back to Copenhagen. While touring with The Migrant in Europe, he performed with a group of fellow Danish musicians and after moving back to his home turf, Rainbrother was born. The album was produced by Noah Georgeson (The Strokes, Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart) whose flickering elements have been spun into the group’s tight rock sound making Tales From The Drought both an earthy and elevating affair.
Bjarke has already received praise from numerous well-regarded publications including Rolling Stone, Americana UK, Drowned In Sound and Pop Matters to name but a few. He has also been praised by the likes of BBC 6music’s Lauren Laverne and has supported acts such as Kurt Vile, Villagers and Sharon Van Etton. Rainbrother will also be performing at the upcoming SXSW festival in 2017 along with the following live dates:
22nd February 2017 - Paper Dress Vintage - London
23rd February 2017 - Castle Hotel - Manchester
24th February 2017 - The Glad Cafe - Glasgow
Break Out is out 9th December 2016 and Tales From The Drought is out on 3rd February 2017, both via General Bird.
Tokyo Taboo release video ‘Self Sabotage’!

London duo Tokyo Taboo's latest video for 'Self Sabotage' has just been released. The track is taken from their forthcoming debut album 6th Street Pyschosis, out March 24th 2017 via TT Records.
RMP Magazine premiered the video but it’s also available to watch now via Tokyo Taboo’s YouTube channel.
6th Street Psychosis, the new album from Tokyo Taboo, features ten tenacious, in-your-face tracks that combine the band’s rock and pop punk influences.
The band's previously released track 'N.A.R.C.I.S.M' is also available to stream via the Tokyo Taboo Soundcloud page.
The duo comprise of singer Dolly Daggerz and guitarist Mike, who are joined by a band for their live shows. Dolly takes inspiration from iconic performers from Heart to David Bowie and Karen O and Mike simply loves a good riff. Tokyo Taboo is a perfect amalgamation of Dolly and Mike’s influences; inspired by Manga, Japanese culture, drag and 80s fashion, they are true performers, with an image that equals the intense vibrancy of what you hear on record.
Featuring hectic, heart-pounding hooks and soaring rock-inspired vocals, Tokyo Taboo cover a range of subjects on the album, which was recorded in Downtown LA. From Dolly’s quarter life crisis to politics and vulnerability, they aren’t afraid of smashing the expectations of ‘the industry’ whilst wearing their hearts on their sleeves - cuts, bruises, tears and all.
On the album, ’Bubbilicious’ is a racing, high-octane opener, whilst ‘Emotional Suicide’ is filled with an uptempo, feisty power and ‘N.A.R.C.I.S.M’ oozes brutal honesty, raw riffs and dark undertones. Meanwhile, single Make It Out Alive was inspired by the vote to bomb Syria and the feeling of frustration, hopelessness and anger Dolly felt, which seethe through the music as she spits and snarls each lyric over Mike’s raucous riffs.
Make It Out Alive gained support from the likes of Radio X and BBC Radio 1 and with 6th Street Psychosis out soon, Tokyo Taboo hope to bring their own brand of modern pop punk kicking and screaming into the public consciousness. You can catch the duo live at The Black Heart in Camden on 14th December 2016.
6th Street Psychosis is out 24th March 2017 via TT Records.
Introducing… Callum Easter!

“...endearingly catchy."
- DorkSinger-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Callum Easter creates an emotive, vast soundscape on his forthcoming EP, Get Don’t Want, set for release on 16th December 2016 via Soulpunk.
The track ‘Feelings Gone’ premiered on Dork you can also stream it now via Soulpunk’s Soundcloud page.
Impossible to pigeonhole, Callum Easter is able to conjure an electrifying and eclectic fusion of sounds on Get Don’t Want. Combining the profound spoken word observations of John Cooper Clarke with a rich musicality, this EP showcases the vast expanse of what Easter is capable of, not-to-mention leaving you with a lasting memory of a unique artist.
Opening with the raw, uplifting, blues rock sounds of ‘Feelings Gone’, the EP then transcends into something quite different. Think of Syd Barrett dancing a zombie foxtrot with Alex Harvey in Lee Scratch Perry's front parlour whereas Get Don’t Want provides a wonderfully rich, dystopian soundscape.
As ‘Want It Sometime’ oozes glitchy beats alongside impassioned spoken word vocals, ‘Chemo Bells’ is filled with a disturbing yet alluring cacophony of sounds. The following tracks ‘Second Space’ and ‘Imaginary People’ continue in this vein, pulsating with eerie, jilted beats and profound poetic observations, creating an intense sense of impending doom.
However, Get Don’t Want goes full circle. Closing track ‘Little Burden’ flows with bluesy harmonica and gentle fairground melodies, reminiscent of Devendra Banhart’s early work, thus sandwiching the dark glitchy filling of this EP with something softer and more palatable.
Musician, poet, producer and songwriter, Callum Easter’s talents are wide-ranging and showcased exquisitely on Get Don’t Want - a creation that’s sure to propel him to success.
Get Don’t Want is out on 16th December 2016 via Soulpunk.

The single premiered on Impose Magazine and can be streamed via the Jailbox Soundcloud page now.
A follow up to the recently released single Idea Jar, the St. Louis collective have created another whimsical track; beguiling the listener through its sheer elegance. Jailbox have once again proven their ability to write emotionally powerful music; a sonic equivalent to an arrow through the heart.
Comprised of Andrew Tanz (vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, percussion), Joseph Bassa (vocals, guitars, percussion), Aaron Essner (percussion, drums) and Trent Dickerson (bass, vocals) Jailbox formed in 2009 as a moniker for their home recordings which was taking place in their home state of Missouri. Having supported the likes of Vetiver, Devendra Barnhart, Still Corners, Daniel Johnston and Pines as well as playing renowned venue Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown as part of Coachella, Jailbox are aiming to end 2016 on a high by showcasing their ethereal sound to a world-wide audience.
