Moneytree in the Press and Free London Show on Wednesday!

Moneytree are gearing up for the third installment of their Great Indoors triptych with the release of The Great Indoors Part III. The band are currently touring the UK but have started to see the reviews fly in, and they have been worth the wait!

First up is a review from Rock Sound Magazine. The boys scored an impressive 8/10 with the magazine stating:

"Moneytree have created something special. The songwriting is complex but instantly rewarding, sometimes cacophonous but never self-indulgent, and the versatility of vocalist Campbell Austin is hugely impressive." - Rock Sound

The music website Room Thirteen also gave the EP a fantastic review scoring it 9/13!

"Moneytree are a band in that interesting position of clearly being able to pen a strong track that borders on commercial alt rock; but can also bring together a mix of intricate beats and jittery melodies that will warm the hearts of indie fans everywhere." - Room Thirteen

You can read the review in full HERE.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about ABoF will be hosting a gig for Moneytree in London on Wednesday 20th October at the The Old Blue Last. Doors are at 19.30 and support will come from the brilliant Gin Panic and Wayter.

The gig is FREE!

Introducing… Esperi!

Esperi has recently joined us here at ABoF and as a taster of bigger things to come in 2011, he releases free MP3 Dialled in November. You can download it from the links below or email us for more information - info@abageoffriendship.com.

"Juxtaposing acoustic guitar and a whole host of odd instruments and percussion, Esperi mainman Chris Lee-Marr seems to be making all the right waves." – The List

Esperi is Scottish multi-instrumentalist Chris Lee-Marr. His songs and indeed sounds are both thought provoking and incredibly uplifting. Having already supported the likes of KT Tunstall, Gomez, Johnny Flynn, Olaf Arnolds and James Yorkston and being a regular at festivals like Wickerman, and T in the Park, Esperi is ready to take his wonderful music to a larger audience.

His music ranges from acoustic storytelling to colourful electronica looping and combining different sounds with his acoustic guitar. He uses a host of instruments from the conventional to the unusual including his signature rainbow-coloured bells, which he plays with his feet! He writes about his home, his dogs and his family. There are no airs or graces, he just writes about things as they are.

Chris' delicate voice and honest songwriting is akin to Mike Kinsella (Owen, American Football) but with softer, lilting Scottish undertones. However, Esperi is more than simply an acoustic artist but rather someone very special, writing stories that paint musical pictures, creating wonderful images that will touch your very heart and soul.

You can download "Dialled" HERE or HERE.
