ABoF News: Last.fm, Jeffrey Lewis and releases galore!

It's been a while since we've done a big proper news update from ABoF HQ but that's only because we've been unbelievably busy, working like mad on some excellent campaigns these last 6-months. So sit back, grab a cuppa and have a wee read at what's been going down here at ABoF!

As always, if you've got any questions about anything you read here or our PR services in general, please email info@abadgeoffriendship.com.

Last.fm

We are very proud to announce that we are working with Last.fm to create online buzz and PR around their partnership with HP, promoting “The Power of Sound”.

HP and Last.fm's partnership celebrates the Beats audio technology that comes with HP Premium PC through a series of live music events and artist interviews, curated by Last.fm.

The partnership kicks off with a number of pop-up acoustic gigs taking place around London throughout July and August, hosted by Black Cab Sessions in association with Last.fm. The first secret session took place on June 16th in Soho Square with Sheffield duo Slow Club making a surprise appearance. The rain stopped just in time for the fans and curious passers by to enjoy their soulful sounds.

For the latest updates on these secret pop-up sessions, artist interviews and anything else please keep checking the HP Facebook page for news and exclusive content.

Jeffery Lewis & The Junkyard live at The Lexington!

We have joined forces with NYC’s Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard to organise a very special show at The Lexington, London on Tuesday 2nd August 2011.

The band will be joined by a very special guest, Scotland's velvet voiced multi-instrumentalist - Esperi, who will be playing an intimate acoustic set to showcase his new self-titled EP, due for release 4th August.

This show is now sold out but if you are a member of the press and would like to cover this show for your website or publication, please email info@abadgeoffirendship.com.

Roxanne de Bastion - self-titled EP

Roxanne de Bastion is unleashing her debut self-titled EP on the UK this summer after a flurry of gigs with saw her touring with Nik Kershaw. This self-titled EP is characterised by its laid back, minimalist guitar and intelligent lyrics shaped by Roxanne's enchanting voice, creating a whimsical landscape littered with video game references, introspection and an underlying current of innocence that allows her to deliver some incredible lyrical barbs.
